Are weapons returning just like MK4-MKA?

Maybe in the form of stage interactables, but that's probably it. Characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kitana and Nightwolf had weapons implemented in their moves sets and that's most likely the way it's going to stay.

I hope so.

The weapons would be interesting as an alternative to X-Ray for Full Bar.

I think the use of weapons in MK9 should not be tinkered with. Let weapons be the result of combos not the other way around.

Another note: if weapons are implemented as a fighting stance then each character is needs a weapon which means some characters will have a weapon forced upon them (see Reptile) and sometimes it just doesn't fit. Better to not force such things.

I wouldn't mind weapons returning to be able to combat with. I enjoyed them and didn't think they made an unfair advantage. I hope that they don't have pick up weapons though or the rock that sits in the middle of the stage that can be thrown like in MK4. That stuff will get abused in a heartbeat.

Precisely.

Weapons for everyone? Absolutely not. Reptile should not be using a sword, and Goro should not be using four puny knives.

Weapons for known weapon users? Yes. Kenshi needs his Katana, Mileena needs her Sai, Kitana needs her fans, etc. This doesn't mean they use weapons non-stop, but organically include them in combos (such as Sub-Zero forming an ice sword/dagger for certain strings in MK9.)

And seeing as how the teaser trailer showed environmental interaction, I don't necessarily want weapons just lying in the center of arenas (like in 4/Deception/Armageddon) but I would be fine if environmental elements could be turned into weapons for certain characters.
For instance, Sub-Zero encases a branch in ice and uses it as a club, while a more nimble character uses it to switch position or something, like how a power character can pick up a searchlight in the Gotham rooftop stage and throw it at the opponent, while a smaller character jumps off the searchlight and lands behind their opponent. I dunno.

It looks silly to have gigantic meat cleavers and thunder hammers just haphazardly placed in the center of the stage.

Interactive elements would be interesting. And every scenario has different elements, so that every character has some advantage of it,

About mode with Weapon would be very good if it increases the damage and speed and add some combos as an alternative to the bar (the invez much damage since the X-Ray, a little more damage taking a gun until the end of the round). Some characters could change the way the invez taking the gun (Reptile could devoluir to form a lizard).

They are most-likely returning. Did you read the main feed? It stated that Sub-Zero wields his sword on and off during gameplay.
Hopefully, only the characters that have a weapon can wield one.
