Why assume Sonya took Johnny's last name?

This is somewhat of an interesting question. We know they banged and had Cassie, and since Cassie followed her mom's footsteps and says "From the page of Cage", we can at least assume her relationship with her parents is okay.

What we don't know however, is if Sonya and Johnny were together at all? Was Sonya feeling particularly vulnerable while Johnny was feeling particularly lucky? Or are they a happily married couple?

This is one of those things I'm dying to find out.

Johnny just filled Sonya few times, then she got pregnant and then abandoned by him and now Cassie and Sonya's mission and main reason for being in MK X are to avenge his irresponsibility. I hate Sonya. Cassie Cage - cloning of Cammy ;)

Maybe. As many some people have pointed out, they might be married or they might just have had a child together and then gone separate ways. Either way we'll find out when the game is out.




We don't really now that. Rain's bio states he is Argus son, and says he was hidden so he wouldn't ruin the plans of succession. I doubt Argus married Rain's mother, he was probably just a bastard son.

Being a huge Sonya and Johnny fan, I am very excited to learn their story and see how all of this developed and evolved. I'm specially interest after the hints that most of the story revolves around them and the birth of their child.

It's like all these 20+ years of fan fiction have finally come to life in the best way possible (thank you Boon and NRS!). These are two major MK legends and I am thrilled to see what they've got in store for them.

I want to believe that they will treat the Cage-Blade family with the happy ending they deserved:

1) I'm guessing Sonya and Johnny definintely fell for one another and got married. They got their very own happy ending.

2) I doubt that Sonya took his last name. I don't see her giving her giving her's up that easily.

3) They both love and trained their daughter for years, but, they are both not happy to see her involved in the new events that will take place in MKX.

4) Whatever the outcomes/stories are, I would hate (of course) if they go the predictable route of killing one (or both) of the parents just to give Cassie some form of story or motivation. That would suck.

Exactly. I think (would like to think) they are both a happily married couple who retired and got into the "domestic life" during some part of Cassie's first years. I doubt they fully quit their own thing.

A Desperate Housewife Sonya Blade segment would be awesome to see though. I just can't picture her like that. It would be hilarious to see her try that life for a bit and then just give up and go back to the SF.

Johnny better have his Seido connection developed in this game.
