Definitely. I'm still annoyed Lobo wasn't involved in Injustice's story, so I hope Goro and other DLC won't suffer the same fate.

Though maybe at least some of the DLCs could come with an extra chapter for the story mode that's added when you replay it.

Yessssss! After buying and downloading the characters, their chapters are automatically included when replaying Story-mode.

I hope every main roster character has a chapter as well and not just certain ones.

The only way this could happen is to make these DLC characters have their own story chapters that you can play any time WHEN the DLC releases.
Because throwing it in the middle of the game somewhere would piss people off because I'm sure NRS hasn't learned their lesson of letting people play ANY chapter of the game AT WILL.

If these characters are in the game, and not yet available to play as, console and PC modders will be laughing.

This could only happen if it would be side-stories. If DLC characters could be in the main storyline, they'd already have to be loaded onto the disc.

And people already despise that. What with the fact that Goro will already be on the disc and you have to preorder the game to unlock him, despite him being already programmed in the game.

I'm just hoping the DLC characters will actually speak instead of just grunting and yelling. And that they have alt costumes.

Yes, it'll essentially be like MK vs. DC with Quan Chi playing a large part of the story - who was later planned as dlc.

Well it would be the same as Hsu Hao being in the game only to die. But he would never get a character with his own moves.

I didn't say you could FIGHT with those DLC characters, only see them in the story much like the characters that only die in storymode, like hopefully Sonya Blade and some others.

Such characters could later on become DLC with their own moves.

Of course what some of you guys said, that they gain a story-chapter upon release is also a cool possibility, but I kinda doubt that they will do such a thing.

And yes, I hope that the villians also get some play-time, not only the obvious heroes.

I feel like having them in story would kind of take away from the intended "zOMG" reaction. I'm all for DLC chapters or chapters that unlock when you buy the character DLC though.

Well I rather see Rain being involved in the story for once, not being only a OMG-factor for DLC, that sucks in my opinion.

He has a great story, unlike many others.

Agreed, Rain has Story potential, an interesting background, wasted yet again.
