Since the 1st act is supposed to be a redux of MK4, I think Goro will be the sub-boss for Shinnok right here. Then we'll get a time jump. KotaL Kahn will be the boss for the OutWorld CiviL War act, but no clue who his sub-boss will be. The 3rd act and beyond are still a mystery. I think revenant ShaoKahn will be a sub-boss at some point.

The ladder shows Goro as a sub-boss so he may be one of them in the story. I just don't know about anymore of them right now.

No it doesn't? The only thing the ladder shows is that Goro happens to be on it. There's no way to tell if he's the actual sub boss since we can't see the top/where it ends.

We do see it where it ends, with Shinnok...It's also the achievement icon for completing Arcade....So...

I kinda think the "true" last boss would be standing atop the tower, like Blaze in Armageddon, which would make Shinnok the sub boss.

Just my speculation of course, for all I know Shinnok is indeed the last boss.

Maybe there's multiple sub bosses. Like sub-boss Shang in MK9 had more health and armour, maybe they'll dress up a few characters who are big bads in the story like Mileena, Goro, Quan or Kotal and have them all in rotation.

Probably not though.

Didn't those shots come before Shinnok's reveal? They might have just disabled him and Goro from the tower to avoid spoiling them before they were ready to.

I doubt there is a boss other than Shinnok, as for sub-boss, Goro seems to be the choice to go with, or maybe Liu Kang.

But yeah, the shot of Subby as a boss was before Shinnok got revealed, so I guess they disabled them and removed them from the ladder.

They spoiled Jax, Mileena, Sonya, Kung Jin and Takeda/Liu Kang in other shots from that video. And Goro was also seen.

The addition of spoiling Shinnok wouldn't matter. Especially since most people expected him.

Klassic towers are different from living towers. See the design of the klassic tower and compare it to the living towers totally different.

I'm sure it's just a design that changes every time you enter the mode, or updates in real time.










If judging the design. With that logic, we should have four ladder modes.

Whatever, we can just disregard that....BUT....It still doesn't explain the picture of Sub-Zero and Kung Lao, which has the same design as the ladder from the achievement site. Which again, is not related to a "Arcade mode". I dunno why the person said it was.

God I'm hoping we get a jacked-up, modernized version of Shinnok's Mythologies end-boss demon form.

I would like that too!!! It would definitely make him more Intimidating as a boss than he was in MK4. And for everyone who doesn't like the idea of bosses being playable, it would be a great way to distinguish "playable" Shinnok from "boss" Shinnok
