Yeah the announcer has been lacking for sure. The music as well. It doesn't give me that epic feeling anymore.

He should not reward uppercuts like in classsics though, but combos.

I couldn't agree more. MK1-MK4 had so many memorable themes but after that the music has been incredibly lackluster, it's very disappointing.

Like I said in another of these threads before, I hope to we can choose between announcers, I would love a return of the voice from MK3.

They will never top "The Temple" or Steve Ritchie. It is simply impossible.

yet mk9's was pretty bad too. They really do need to improve all of that for the next game, it such an important piece of the atmosphere.

In the new Raiden gameplay video you can hear the annoucer laugh at 0:47. But does he also say 'pray for the gods mercy"?
If so it looks like the announcer will be eminent present in this game!

I think that is Kotal Kahn saying, "pray for the Kahn's mercy"

Okay, and does he also do the laughing?

I remember back in MK2, sometimes you would uppercut your opponent, you could hear the roar of a lion (maybe Kintaro?) I miss that too..

couldn't agree with ya all more. Have been playing MK since the beginning and that was absolutely one thing i LOVED about the series.

not only did we get all those compliments ( well done, outstanding ) but also the ooohs and aahhhs from the observers was awesome!

My only other complaint about MK9 would have been the sound design on the fatalities.

There were no really sharp loud screams during the appropriate fatalities.

For example do Raiden's first fatality where he blows off their arm then legs on Mileena!

Listen to that scream it is freaking awesome! Yet i do Scorpion's toasty fatality on Mileena and she moans as if she is having an orgasm? That same scream woulda been just fine.

Also bring back the LONG & LOUD sustained scream when falling into a "PIT".

In MK9 the screams on the way down just sucked, except maybe Kenshi.

Lastly Dan forden has lost his way, i dont want orchestral music, i want fast paced hardcore music! KMFDM have supplied the music in both films and those sequences were all the better for it. I have put KMFDM on my hard drive and played the game to it..............just Flawless! But whatever your preference, I need something faster and harder please and thank you :)

I agree 100% would b cool to hear it after high damaging combos instead of uppercuts.

if things like this dont get discussed, it wont be noticed by NRS. I also think these threads should get more attention.

The music, voices etc gave MK its own style. They seems to give it less attention with the latest games.
