I've been thinking... if Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is truly about the end of days and whatnot, it would be pretty damn lame if the next game in the series just 'started fresh'. Are the gods simply going to recreate everything for MK8? Thats very uninspired in my opinion.

I'm thinking that maybe the next generation Mortal Kombat will take place years and years and years before this series of games. Either that, or it will take place in a completely different or alternate universe.

These are just some ponderings of mine, but feel free to discuss them or to point me in the right direction of information if I'm completely off base.
