I do not think that Earthrealm will be involved in the next game. That said, I do not believe any of the other realms will either. I think it will and should be a frehs start, from scratch. I will post more on that soon enough, I'm working on my own storyline for the game. See how close I get to the real thing.

It does seem very likly that none of the realms will exist due to the title "Armaggedon".Oh and welcom to MK:O.

ok so this is my two cent idea.


all the realms are mush for this game......becoming one realm or whatever.
I'm thinkin along the lines of something that DC Comics did. they had a CRISIS ON INFINITE PLANES. which meant that alternate realites began merging.

So lets say that they kill off all these people BUT they can STILL bring some or many of them back BUT in a different realm and looking a bit different OR completely different. Maybe with the same powers maybe not. Maybe with the same name, maybe not. A great example is Power Girl VS Super Girl. Same person different realities. Different storylines, and looks but same powers and both good.

If Midway took this route they could bring back 2-3-a countless number of Reptiles, or Rains, or Sonya's. They could even have multiple characters on the same game as the same person but with a different name and look and possible goals......example

Sonya 1 from our games
Sonya 2 from another reality that might be bad
Sonya 3 from another reality that might be a double agent
Sonya 4 from another reality that might have short hair and be a slave for another character in MK because she never escaped MK1 and has been a servant or assasin for Shao Khan who is still all powerful.

The possibilities are endless.

But this wont happen I'm sure
what will happen is that other realms will be formed or the originals will be placed back to normal and the fighters we have now are either gonna go into retirement, die, become gods, or be banished to other realms. We will have (in my opinion) about 5-7 characters left from our current MK roster. MY ideas are

Raiden (Becomes Evil)
Fujin (Good and promoted since he takes over for Raiden)
Kitana (new ruler for Edina since Sindel will die DAMN IT)
Rain (Looks too cool to not be in future games)
Kai (Earth Realms new hero)
and either Scorpion or Subzero but not both.

It will be takien to a whole new level.It will continue with all new characters and new realms.On the newer genration of consoles.(I HOPE)

Mortal Kombat Armageddon has been confirmed as the last fighting game in the series for this generation of consoles. So yes, Mortal Kombat 8 will be on next-gen consoles.

i think, since just about everyonewill DIE we should get a shit load of new characters (like there family comming back for vengence!!!!)

That would plain suck. I'm all for new characters but very few should be the descendants of the current cast.

face it if everyone is going up against each other more than half of them will DIE

Personally i don't really care about the new characters as long as mk8 will have another Bruce Lee ripoff.Although i have high hopes for the next-gen mk.

This may have already been suggested, but instead of MK8 being set after armageddon, why not set before MK1, after all MKDA intro did say MK has always existed, plus the Great Kung Lao could then be included in the series.
