Im not sure.....I dont think so.

You see, it would be Mk1 all over again. A tournament, corruption, evil...BOOM....no tournament.

If they can come up with great story twists for a new tournament, then it would be cool to see.

I haven't given up hope on my prediction that Armageddon will return to the tournament format. Since MKD I've hoped that the storyline will be:

"The elder gods, tired of the constant breaking / breaching of their rules, declare one final Mortal Kombat tournament to decide the ultimate fate of the realms."

Doesn't seem as likely now due to the One Being's appearance - I dunno how he would fit into that storyline - but it would explain why every MK character is returning...

well, I dont Know. I know that the Tournement is held once every 10 years and I do beleive that they skipped a couple years into Deadly Aliance after MK 4. I dont think it will be like what we saw in the Original MK but they might use the Tournement as part of the Storyline but the Storyline will not revolve around a tournement.
