Those characters will never be in a Mortal Kombat game. The only one I see coming back is Khameleon.

I think that there could be places for a few of those characters. But characters like Meat (and I'd add Blaze and Mokap to that list), in my mind, should just fade into the past. I think there's a difference here between minor or story characters and novelty characters. I think:

Novelty Characters:
Meat
Blaze
Mokap
Khameleon

Story Characters (or those that have never had their own role other than that of existing for the sake of other major characters stories):

King Jerrod
King Gorbak
Sareena
Tremor
Kia
Jataaka

Of those, I could see King Jerrod, King Gorbak and Sareena having roles in the future. Unless instead of Sareena, they wanted to bring in Kia or Jataaka. Still, I'm not sure what role would be there for them.

As for the Gods of Fire, Water and Earth go, I think the Gods could definitely have a role in a future game. I thought at one time that it would be cool to see a game where the Gods decide to "start over" because the realms are so corrupted. They'd give Earthrealm one last chance in a tournament to defense ALL of the realms against the Gods. One God, Fujin, would go against the Gods and side with Earthrealm, and nearly all of the Alliances of the past would be stirred up or changed for various reasons.

That was my idea for Armageddon, but regardless, this idea could work and would probably even make more sense after Armageddon. The Gods become angry that the many realms seem hell bent on destroying what the Gods/One Being created. Either way, I think the Gods could easily have a role in the future. The only thing is that there's NO way they should look anything like they did in MK Mythologies: Sub Zero. Most of them looked just plain silly.

Oh, and the God of Wind is Fujin. I wouldn't call him a minor character. I'd actually like to see him again.

Okay, Meat actually has a chance because Ed Boon said so, and he said that in a future MK game he will have a minor storyline enough to be called a character . . . plus, he would be an interesting character, trust me, there are many possibilities for him, look at the bloody skeletons in MK Shaolin Monks, that could be his clan and he could be the leader, for example. Also, Kai is dull, he made no sense whats so ever when he appeared in MK 4, and he was tasteless and blocky, Sareena, Khameleon, and Chameleon, yes those are good.

Anybody can make a comeback. Just look at Ermac's new accomplishments

There should be a lot of characters that should be playable, I don't think Boon has got to them yet, and there are many races and characters that Boon is missing out on, however.

I only see Khameleon and Sareena coming back.

They should really expand the story line of Chameleon the ninja, not the girl, and how he is related to Reptile, or how he hates Reptile, I don't know, but it would be nice to see Chameleon in future MK games.
