I personally didn't care for it in MK9 and if the game gets more polish without it then I'm all for it! That being said, I think 2v2 will most likely be in the game since it encourages more people to play at once. What are your thoughts on whether or not 2v2 will be in the game and if you even want it in the first place?!

As much as I loved the idea, no. I never even played tag unless I was challenged.

Tag Team was broken in MK 2011. Though, I'll admit, it was fun to play online with relatives and friends, still I wouldn't be upset if it was never included again.

@Ultimachu

Just curious, what about tag made you feel like it was broken?

Calm down. Try not to bump your threads too much with multiple posts.

Tag Kombat was my absolute favorite thing they added to MK9 and I hope they make it happen again with MKX. I loved getting to play not just one of my favorite characters, but two in one game. It was always a swell time.

Well, I rarely ever ran into anyone online who actually knew how to string together combos with characters, but when I did, I'm just like "Are you f_cking kidding me?" It was ridiciulous how much damage those combos did and if you didn't have a breaker, you were pretty much screwed. Here's a video of some Scorpion and Sub-Zero combos.

The quality isn't great, but it's a good example as to how broken it can be. The fourth combo in, is one that I can't stand and like I said previously, if you don't have a breaker, you're done for. I'm sure there are other combinations of combos that are out there, but this was the first one I came across.

There's really no reason it shouldn't return.

Or you could just read the Community FAQ which states:

"Do not reply to your own topics excessively or without adding new discussion. Users found bumping their own topics will receive skull points or warnings; continuous attempts at bumping topics may result in the threads being locked and further punishment if necessary."

I kinda want you to follow my advice. You know. Like right now.

I loved it in MK9.
Every time I'm learning a new character, I would use them in tag ladder and have a character I can't lose with as a back up. Plus tag mode adds more game play time for doing the pesky Mile Stone achievement.

This.

It doesn't seem like it'll take too much dev time. Plus a lot of people will play it with friends. But I do admit I never really did too often. I'm sure if it comes back i'll play it, but it's something i'd rather not just get scrapped. I like the option.

I love tag. I liked how all of my friends could come over and play. Or me and a friend could play together online. I think it should and will return.

Them putting in some specific tag fatalities would be nice too.

Tag would be legit if it was like 4 player in sense of 4 different players online. that would be cool. and if it could get a solid polish then def

I ONLY played Tag in 9, never vanilla arcade.

I think it should be a permanent part of the franchise going forward, like Krypts. I would be extremely disappointed if they ever left it out.

I want a Tanya/Rain tag team.

Not bringing this mode back would be stupid imo

Only reason I played tag was to play with 2 characters. But why not have it?

Only if they fix the arcade ladder boss situation. Shang that takes half damage like Kahn was lazy, and lack of Goro+Kintaro sub-boss match was pure crap.

Cant see any argument for leaving it out. It isn't a huge timesink and some people love it. I dont particularly, I like my arcade ladder to have something of a 'story' to it, but it should definitely be kept. Great fun for versus modes
