Whether the glitch was real or not, it's really weird that they never had a red female "ninja" palette swap in the old games...I mean, the costumes worn by the video game actors who played the male and female ninjas were already red...it would've took little effort to create a red ninjress back then...

I've seen it only thing is when It happened with me the game completely froze at the start of the match it didn't even have kitanas name in the health bar just empty, all I saw was kitana in red but I thought nothing of it considering I was only 10 when it happened but I remember my dad smacking the TV though Cuz he thought that's what was making her red lol it was pretty funny

I never saw it, but I never saw the Ermac glitch in MK1 either but it surely does exist. I guess those bugs are ultra rare.

If you do Mileena vs Mileena, the second Mileena is wearing a red costume.

AFAIK, neither Skarlet nor Ermac were *ever* seen until they made their official debut- and I played a LOT of MK2- Arcade and SNES.

You can't say they were ever seen until they were released just Cuz you never saw it because people have claimed to see them myself included

People CLAIMED to see Ermac. He never existed until his appearance. Boon and co. have said this so many times.

Anyone who says they saw these are liars because they did not occur. Also, the Ermac error had nothing to do with Ermac turning red. It was something that was left in the game during development. People made up this shit about Scorpion turning red and that being the Ermac error. Ed said this long ago. There red thing just wasn't ever true. If someone says it was then they're a liar.

Well with all do respect I know what I saw I'm not an idiot and no one said you had to believe me I was just sharing my experience if ed boon confirmed this oops my bad, not sure what you want me to do I know what I saw so its whatever at this point no one can tell me what I did or did not witness so sorry anytime the question is asked about skarlet being seen in mk 2 I will always say yes whether people believe me or not :]

Those new kids on the MK block claiming i saw Ermac I saw this and that....in the MK GAMES 1992-2000 Forum there are thousands of threads about Ermac discussion,there's indeed a closed thread in page 1 about this crap and nobody ever has brought the sacred picture or video of Ermac or in this case Scarlett,why?,because no Ermac or Scarlett ever happened,no Error Macro or Red Kitana will ever happen because they dont exist.

I never saw the Skarlett glitch in MKII, however I have seen it in UMK3 for SNES & you can find photos of a red Mileena online from the arcade version UMK3 as well. The Error Macro glitch exists in the Sega CD version of MK.

In fact, there was never really much of a rumor back in the day. It was mostly retroactively added more as a "What if/It would be cool if..." type of thing; and it's based entirely off of the Ermac rumor.

It's a shame that we have a waste another potential character slot for her.

Error Macro could have actually existed the original costumes were red and were colored in computers and computers were still pretty new the arcade game could have glitched and wiped the sprite before coloring for Scorpion. someone also had a theory for the Skarlet glitch what if Mileena's second color got pasted on Kitana during a codeing error? there is no proof that the glitches are real and there is no proof they are fake accept for Ed Boon's word but I think it was cool that they added Ermac and Skarlet. Skarlet is my favorite character so I believe people who have methods that make sense

I was under the impression that Ermac was never even claimed to have been seen.

I thought he originated from the message "Error Macro" (which would have been abbreviated as "ErMac") appeared while playing the game. Then, when the guys decided to introduce Ermac as a response to this, they just made him red because that was all that was left, or because they liked red.

For as long as I've known, Ermac originated from the software error message that people thought was a secret, not an actual red ninja appearing.
