I'n not gonna lie. I find Sheeva totally boneable.

I like Sheeva. I like her enough that she's my main, I wrote a guide over her, and she was the topic of my first "Kharacter of the Week" discussion.

I poked fun at her appearance, but I didn't actually talk about her looks legitimately.



Sheeva's looks tend to fluctuate, and everyone has their preference. I MUCH prefer Sheeva as a lean, toned female Shokan (as she was in MK3 and MK2011) than as the hulking monstrosity she was in Armageddon (though her outfit in Armageddon rocked).

I'll be upfront; I do think Sheeva's sexy. I mean, she doesn't really go out of her way to make herself pretty either; and yet she can be rather elegant and beautiful with a little effort.


I, too, prefer her alternate significantly over her primary. Her bikini, as butt-bearing as it is, looks too much like a wrestler's outfit. But her alt, well, that makes her look like a female warrior.


One of the problems with Sheeva is just how she's handled... she's treated like a total lackey, and even though her story is compelling and her voice actress very talented, she's never given any room to show off any unique quirks, any inside secrets into her intimate character.

She's a Shokan that cares for her people. She turns against Kahn when he undermines her people. She believes in Shokan respect. Even her battlecry is "for the Shokan"... but we don't get any insight into her.

She reminds me of Tali from Mass Effect. In Mass Effect 1, all Tali did was talk about her people; how they lived their lives, their codes of morality and politics, their rules and religions... she barely talked about herself at all. When the sequel came out, they fixed that and addressed that head on, especially if you romanced her. "You've spent too much time thinking about the fleet and not enough time thinking about yourself."

I want Sheeva to have that sort of moment. Time and again, she's proven to be a noble character, even heroic. She's not an evil character, she's not selfish. Given the right reason, she could become a very interesting heroic character and ally for the Earthrealm warriors.

And then I'd like to see her have some FUN. She's always so dour. Always so serious. I want her to have a moment where she flirts with Johnny Cage, for example, just to see if he really would hit on anything. Or she has a weakness for puppies or chocolate ice cream. Nearly every character in the game has moments of "humor" and "humanity" to make them more likable, whether it was Jax losing his temper at Johnny, Sonya blowing off Johnny's come-ons, Kung Lao poking fun at Liu Kang's interest in Kitana, Nightwolf giving Scorpion a verbal beat down, Stryker and Kabal having friendly banter, etc.

Sheeva didn't get much of that. Unlike the heroes, you can tell she's not very close to the other villains. She has nobody to talk to, really. Nobody to rebound off of. Nobody to act casual around, girlish, or even beautiful and perhaps vulnerable.

Again, like Tali, I would like that to change. Just one thing, one moment, could really breathe new life into her character and, regardless of her appearance, get her a lot of new fans. Her endings show this off, but never in action, never where it matters most.

So, c'mon, Sheeva. I'm rooting for you, babe. Bring on the goods in MK10.

I miss her MK3 face. Something about the nose on the new one isn't working for me.

I think Sheeva possesses some of that animalistic allure. I can't really describe why find her attractive, I just kind of do. And sure the easy answer would be that she's stacked to the ceiling, but then so are all the other MK girls, and most of them don't really do anything for me with the exception of Jade. Maybe it's the 4 arm thing, maybe it's the spots, but there's definitely something sexy there.

She's got a nice balance of power and grace, at least in this incarnation. Too bad she's been put into this spot story wise where there's not much to do except get beat on. She's in this awkward spot of isolation that Garlador mentioned. Yes, Goro and Kintaro are from her race, but the former is too obsessed with getting a pat on the head from Kahn and the other is too feral to really hold a conversation with (for now at least, who knows Kintaro might be a brilliant quarter human quarter tiger quarter dragon quarter whatever the fuck else he's mixed with, but we don't know that).

I think Sheeva's sexy, strong, smart, nobel and graceful. But until they can put her upfront with some of the other characters she's always going to feel like wasted potential, and that's a real shame.

I love that Sheeva has her own unique beauty to her, she's powerful and vicious in battle, yet lean, elegant and graceful.

Sheeva is just so radically different from the other female characters in terms of her looks and gameplay.

She's a character that I think deserves to return next game, not at the next MK family reunion game, we've only seen her in two legit games (Armageddon doesn't count for various reasons).

Sheeva is the only 'alluring' character in MK... Other girls like Jade can be sexy, while Sonya's got the whole attention seeking cleavage going on, Mileena advertises overnight rental of her flesh on billboards across the globe, etc... But Sheeva is just straight up inneresting.

As has been said, I also prefer Sheeva slender and toned as opposed to a bulging heap of muscle-breasts. With the long limbs and thinner frame she almost looks the part of 'femme fatale'. Specifically, in her ending(I think) where she's shown sitting with her legs crossed, she looks elegant, sexy, etc... If they changed her movements in battle to be more slinky instead of brutish, she'd be twice as awesome. I'd like to see Sheeva's role expanded to give her a subdued leader vibe where she is generally quite calm, collected, comes of as intelligent, but then switches to loud mouthed Shokan warrior goddess on the battlefield.

I would like to see her teamed up with human good guys because the potential for silly situations is endless, and I do love those moments...

I think she's got everything working for her except the personality, which has been hinted as being great but is never shown. I kind of want her to have a good sense of humor...

Have you ever drawn Sheeva, Harle? I'd be curious to see it, you clearly like the character a lot.

And for the record I too think she's totally sexy. That ending shot gave me the mental image of a business woman about to uncross her legs and flash her goodies.

Man....I fantasize about Sheeva all the time! Lol! And she's got four arms! Go figure!

Regarding her personality and relationships,

She seems to regard honour quite highly, and also seems like the practical and loyal sort( to her own race), therefore I think that if she would engage in a relationship it would be firstmost always a Shokan or atleast a powerfull warrior and viable partner, she'd do this more so for practicality, and thus would engage in a sexual relationship only with intent on creating a strong and powerfull offspring... She values tradition quite highly so depending on Shokan mating customs she would follow it to the rule ( For example if marriage is common she would persue and persist the bonding)...

If she had normal hair instead of that hideous mohawk, even in an alt, I would probably use her just because she's practically unseen online. I just can't get behind a character whose design I find so ugly.

Seriously? Sheeva? I feel so sorry for them girls who are trying so hard to make themselves appealing by dying their hair, putting on loads of make-up, and doing all that other stuff that makes them so ehh feminine. Someone should tell them that four muscular arms, split toes, a mohawk and an ugly warted back is all the rage nowadays....

No, it might have to do with my gender but I seriously do not understand how something like Sheeva could be found attractive. I don't find myself attracted to Goro in any sort of way. Nor to Kintaro for that matter....

Because she isnt trying so damn hard. Sheeva is natural. Girls today put on so much make up and glittery bullshit that as a man you dont know what they really are anymore. Sheeva ya know what your getting. :D

Natural beauty is so much better, I just think guys and girls look sexy when they're just themselves, natural and beautiful.

I also don't think wearing a ot make-up, perfume, and dying your hair makes you pretty, there's more to beauty than the superficial and not to get too philosophical but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
