even if it doesn't make sense to use the eye laser only for fatalities if a character can use it during the fight, a game like MK is not supposed to make sense anyway

Both. Add some variety. Just don't give the eye laser the same properties as a projectile.

I also say both. MKvsDCU Kano had both and worked out fine. There's no reason the laser can't be both a move and a Fatality, lots of characters have fatalities that use their regular moves but more lethally.

Knife throw, without a doubt. I don't want to see an eye laser fatality though. It's been done before and I don't think that it falls under the category of "classic."

However, I wouldn't mind seeing a sort of burst/flash anti-air laser.

I would like it if the eye laser was like a sub zero freeze where it would allow Kano to move forward to start a combo attack(the laser would remain constant, and get smaller as Kano gets closer to the opponent.) I think that is a super solid fucking idea haha.

Honestly, Kano doesn't feel like a projectile heavy character to me. I'd rather see him play as rush down with his cannonball ability, and have the knife as a toned down projectile.

He just doesn't feel like he should be a zoning character to me.

I want to see the characters have a LOT of special moves, like they do in MK vs DCU, that's why I say both. And there's only so many directions you can cannonball in before it gets really boring to do what's basically the same move over and over again, so variety is good.
He also needs the knife-uppercut from MK3 back now that there's no weapon styles, and perhaps that grab-and-choke/shake/whatever it was too.

I agree with one of them being an anti-air attack. I'd like to see both just not as the same type of attack.

I would like him to have both but only if Sareena isnt in the game. If she (hopefully) is, then give the knife throw to her!

If they bring Sareena back, I'd prefer her to have sickles like she did in Mythologies. She should still throw them super-fast like the knives in Armageddon, so it's really just a visual thing, but then, same difference between a fireball from Liu and a flaming skull from Shang, right?

And then Kano can keep the knives (which I personally would like to be lightsabers again like they used to in MK1 and 3, BTW) and throw them at his regular speed.

Knife throw as a special move to be honest. Id rather have the eye laser as a fatality because we all know Hsu Hao aint gonna be in the game, so there is only one guy with a laser prejectile. Id have the cannonball kick, the takedown move in armageddon, and knife throw.
