Updated versions of his MK1 & MK3 costumes are most needed. While I would like to see the Trevor Goddard look return from MKVSDC, I think I'd prefer him bald like he was in the original games.

MK3 costume most preferably or MK1. I didn't like the idea of Kano having this greasy long hair that was in MKA and MK/DC despite the fact that it fitted for his crazy and careless personality. The bald head with the metallic eye he has makes him just much more tough and serious.

Needs to use knives in at least one fatality - that toned-down crud in MKDC where he flung them into their chest barely counted. His track record for fatalities is pretty crappy, which is a shame since you get the sense that his would be some of the most brutal of them all. In the main series, since his debut with the heart rip. he's moved on to the incredibly stupid skeleton rip and eye laser explosion, and the derivative multiple organ rip in MKDA. It's way past time his shit got seriously nasty. This is the kind of guy who should be disemboweling people.

That said, MKDC did kind of update his MK1 look, I'm hoping to see either similar treatment given to his MK3 black outfit, or something new altogether.

As long as he's got his bandolier and slicked back, going bald gangster hair, I'll be pleased. I like the Aussie voice, but I don't wanna see Goddard's flattop from MKvsDCU again. Doesn't fit the character, the character is a greasy mob boss.

I know hes in, i mean come on how can he not be in this game! However, i wonder what other moves there going to give him, like is he going to have the eye laser or not? So i am dying to see something.

Personally, i never really cared for his Kanoball look from the 2d games, it just seemed very childish and dim witted, like he was going to be making fart jokes during all of his conversations (though if they remade it i'm not 100% sure it would still seem that way to me). I liked his MKvsDC look the best, he seemed more rugged and like he had something to hide, like he was involved in a black market rather then someone who looks like he's going to go steal my grandmother's purse. Well anyways i'm tired so to sum it up i prefer the more movie looking Kano but if people like his mk1 look then they should have it as his alt, or his primary and have the MKvsDC as his alt or perhaps they'll end up releasing it as his "classic costume" dlc..... idk... i'm going to bed.

No bald Kano, please. It made him look like a child molester every time he smiled in his win pose. I like his MK:DA look best. It encompasses every characteristic I associate Kano with.

MKDC Kano was fine, but a little too "boyish". Plus, his portrayal in that game was not up to par. They made him into a two-bit, worthless thief-type. You would never believe he'd be capable of ripping someone's heart out with his bare hands, which is what the real Kano does. So I want MKDA-inspired look and a much darker portrayal. He needs to be a savage bloodletter ready and willing to completely fucking butcher anyone who stands in his damn way. He has to be cunning, downright fucking scary sometimes - not some 24-year-old "gangsta" who'll go gaga over a little piece of gold, thinking of how much he can get for it *sigh*

And while we're learning from the mistakes of MKDC, please, never have Sonya and Kano working together again. MK writers have never been especially gifted at evoking real character emotion and personality, but making those two so "okay" with working together was a painful blow. Sonya even fucking whispered in his ear at one point, for fuck's sake! She should want to fucking bite a chunk off his neck after getting that close! Okay, rant over - the sole point of this paragraph being that characters like these need personality, morals (or lack thereof), and ideas that are engrained into who they are, and show through everything they say and do. Characters shouldn't be soft clay in the hands of the story's events, which was one of the biggest problems with character portrayal in the last game, especially Kano's.

I'd prefer his MK/MKSM look.

As far as appearance, I liked his MK vs DCU look and his look in Armageddon, so maybe a combination of those two. I liked his MKA outfit a lot, but in MKvsDCU he just looked really bulky and the beard kicked ass.

As far as gameplay, I hope he keeps a lot of his old moves.

-Cannonball, not sure what the super version would do differently.
-Flying Cannonball with the super version doing a downward shot for a second hit or to just hop over a projectile and get the hit in
-Knife throw, maybe the super could be 2 knives
-Laserbeam. This one always bugged me, because I thought it should be a part of his moveset, but he already has a projectile in his knife throw. Maybe a short range laser for the normal version that you can combo into and then a long range beam like Sub-Zero's Ice Beam

it's good to see back the real fans of kano,
if there is a chance to see kano again,
I want his old MK and his MKDA custome,
looks a little bit classic and evil.
till now we don't even know if kano is coming back,
but the theory is simple to understand that if jax and sonya are back then we expect to see kano back.

He needs to look closer to how he did in MKDA. The Billy Mays beard was horrible and the costume was pretty bland in MK vs. DCU.

Black MK3 outfit for an alt.

Kano is a classic one character, who deserves a decent update. Both in look and fight movements.

I'd like Kano to keep his laser as a Fatality ONLY, it was way too cheap and easy to cheat with and like mentioned above he's already got the knife projectile. Also ditch that shake move in MK3 and incorporate his knife uppercut slash move as a basic move, like Kitana uses her fans with regular punch moves and in combos. He should get these regular moves:

1. Knife Toss - Super could be juggle/toss 3 knives
2. MKTrilogy added Slice move was excellent for the classic version of Kano - super version knocks the opponent in the air high for a good combo set-up
3. Cannonball - super version does a boomerang Cannonball in case they jump it
4. Upward Cannonball - Super follows with a Air Downward Cannonball
5. Arched Cannonball (similar to Shuma Gorath's MvC attack) - Super version he pulls out his knifes and does a saw attack during arched version)
6. Air Downward Cannonball - Super does his MK3 Psychoball

Fatality 1 - Laser Show - he uses his laser and deeply cuts victim from head-to-toe vertically but the opposite from which Kung Lao Slices them, which their face is still fully intact. (Besides Ermac, I'd say this is the only way on this game that we could see this concept possible and realistically approvable) This way his is better than that of Jarek's and way different and simple!!!

Fatality 2 - Disembowment - he uses his knife and quickly slashes opponent's chest deep; reaches in and pulls out intestine, then does his cannonball and like 1 big spegetti noodle, it quickly is pulled from opponent's body, then his cannonball takes off and knocks the opponent's already cut torso off

(DLC) Classic - Heart Rip - MK1 version but added that he shoves it in opponent's mouth and stuck down their throat where you can kinda tell it's there

When i look at MK1//3/5 Kano he looks a bit more "Slimy" and ruthless, like he could reall rip your heart out!!!!

I can't wait for Kano. The only problem I have with the MK3 outfit is that it looks too futuristic and just kind of too tidey for Kano. He needs black slacks and black silk formal shirt with sleeves rolled up kind of like a mix between Italian gangster and yakuza. Over that he can have all his gear including his blades, his bandolere, maybe a sub machine gun. Bald and scruffy work for his face, but def not clean shaven or full beard. Also, Can they pick a side for his eye already (maybe I missed something but in MK3, it switches depending on his side of the screen. It always faces you) and make it his right eye.

The cyber eye has always been his right eye, officially. It only flips on the old 2D sprites because that's how sprites were back then. Couldn't be helped. Any character whose costume wasn't symmetrical, like Sub-Zero's scar, did the same thing.

That has never been a problem though since the series went 3D. You're complaining about a problem they solved way back in MK4.

Well, yeah that's what I get for not playing anything beyond MK4 (still got my old n64).

I'm actually really excited to see Kano. One of my favourites of all time, I definately want to see him get the treatment someone like Stryker and Liu Kang got in terms of updating their looks. I want to see Kano resemble his MKDA look, I just thought he looked like a boss. Period.

In terms of gameplay, I don't know how he would fight. Maybe more as a streetfighter instead of being a martial artist? I want to see him use his knives during the fight, similar to how Nightwolf uses his magical knives during his combos.

As for a fataltiy, the heart rip MUST return in an updated version. Any other fatalities he has should have some bloody butchering session.

In MKvsDCU, he had one or two grab/parry moves. I'm hoping that was a sign of things to come and he's a bit of a grappler in this game too. Not as much as Jax, but a good alternation between strategic throws/parries and Nightwolf-style knife slashes.

Special moves wise, I hope he's pretty much the same as in MK3...save for maybe the addition of an eye laser move. I liked the Upward Knife Slash the best.

Also, just as a side note...I really miss how in MK1 and 3 his knives glowed like lightsabers instead of generic replications of the damn movie knife. It's the Black Dragon and Special Forces, he's got a cybernetic laser-eye, Jax has his arms, Kabal has his mask, there's obviously a lot of advanced tech going around. Let the dude have his lit-up knives too.

I kind of like his non-lit up knives. They keep him grounded as someone who is on par with his rival Sonya. She has the rings and he has the eye laser. I don't want to see him all teched out. I see Kano as the rugged guy who relies more on brute strength and cruelty than hi-tech weaponry.

I liked the MKvsDC look the best, it looked classic and the eye was amazing, he had hair and a beard which I loved, and the tattoos suit him too.
MK3 was a good look too, though I don't like the idea of a bald Kano either, I prefer hair. And I don't get why people would think a Kano with hair would be less menacing, it's kind of trivial if you ask me. He could look menacing either way.

His grab fatality in vsDC would be good for a throw. I loved the glowy knives too, I hope they come back.

Whenever I think of Kano, I always think of his MK3 attire and that Aussie accent. I want the accent back and the eye laser.

Hopefully he'll keep his Parry from MKDC
