Honestly the roster should have been full of god characters. Why did they sit this out if this effected their existence as well? Why was Cetrion the only one to make a stand and it was against her own interests?

But again this just begs the question, why did Shinnok had to sacrifice his power to actually descend down to the realms and store it in his amulet if they could just hop down from their perch and do this with zero consequence from the beginning. Why did Raiden have to give up being an Elder Gods to come back to aid the realms?! Good one NRS writers!

I don't really like the idea of there being too many gods in one game. You want variety and for the story to not get bogged down with one particular story thread. Those designs are cool, and I'd like it if they used them in later games. Ideally, I'd like MK12 to be a new story with a new villain. If they got the gameplay right around them, there's no reason one couldn't be the boss of the next game.
