Looks great. If not a little too similar to Skarlet's outfit. Still one of the better Kitana designs.

Two things:

1. This is the best version of her since Deadly Alliance in my opinion.

2. Is it just me or are her features way more Asian now than they have ever been? This seems to be a bit of theme in this game, first Sub-Zero and now Kitana.

Love the look. It’s a very old school design. Much improved from MKX (my least favourite Kitana look).

It looks cool, one of her best costumes, but, I don't buy it as something that would come out of Outworld. It's too sleek.

@Onaga. I was thinking the same thing. It does not strike me as something from Outworld. Jade’s costumes are better so far.

Kitana’s costume was so much better in MKX.

Hopefully her other costumes are better.

I hope they finally get her face right. She’s supposed to be amazingly beautiful. Her face was a disaster in MK9, it definitely improved in MKX, but still needed work. I hope they finally get it right this time.

She looks great. All of the female ninjas have looked great in my opinion.

Well Sub-Zero is Chinese, so he should look Asian.

As for Kitana, I've always preferred her more Latin-esque looks, mainly due to Talisa Soto. However, given her original incarnation bore Japanese origins (her name was even Kitsune), I understand why she would look Asian.

She was originally going to be Shang Tsung’s daughter, that’s why her name was originally Kitsume. I prefer a vague ethnic look for Kitana Latina, Arabian, middle eastern esque.

Im loving the look of Liu and Kung. They look great. I always hated kings look until this game. And this is by far my favorite Liu look to date

Great costume. In fact we already saw it on the menu icon, it's just a closer look. And yes, Kitana does look more Asian than ever. As I already said in another thread I prefer Latina look for her. Why keep changing one's appearance so drastically? In MKDA and MKA she even had light eyes and dark brown hair and looked more Caucasian.

It's not the first time that Kitana looks Asian she was Asian in MK vs DC too

Kitana has been Caucasian in mk2/Trilogy, Deadly Alliance/Unchained/Armageddon and 9/X.

She was latina only in the movies and mk4/gold.

She was Asian in MK vs DC and now 11.

Maybe next time she will be native American or black.

Skarlet's mask was used for Jade's revenant costume too. Not sure if that is still the case as they haven't show that one in a while.

It's bad enough they're using parts of costumes for multiple characters, but also allowing players to pick different colours too... characters are going to look way too similar.

I agree about MK vs DC Kitana looking Asian. Then she looked Latina-esque in MK 2011 again. In MKX in my opinion she already looked kinda Asian though, I wouldn't call this look Caucasian at all. It just wasn't that obvious as in MK 11. Plus her costumes were mostly Asian-inspired.

You thought she looked white in the 3D era? I thought she looked Arabian.

Personally I 'd stick with the original incarnation of each character. The original Kitana was portrayed by Katalin Zamiar, who is Caucasian. Even the second actress Becky Gable was Caucasian.

Jeez NRS. You did such a great job with Kitana and Mileena’s costumes I’m MKX. What is going on with their costumes now? Jade, Skarlet, and Jacqui all have the same costume, now Kitana has the same costume has Skarlet, C’mom guys.

Kitana did not explicitly look Caucasian until Deadly Alliance, and even then it varied by perception. Kitana has always either looked Latina or Asian. I prefer Latina, but I can take either one.

Nationality has nothing to do with ethnicity.

She is Cuban but clearly Caucasian.

You are assuming she is Caucasian, or solely European descent, by her skin tone alone. Cubans, like all those of the Caribbean areas, are a mix of West African and Western European lineage, particularly Spainish lineage.

As for Nationality, Zamiar is American, born in the same city as myself, Chicago.
