Kenshi apparently was killed on Shang Tsung's island and his soul taken by the sorcerer. Shang even killed Ermac.

Usually the roster is determined after they have the story basis layed out, that way they can see what character's would fit and can be fleshed out.

Just chillin with Takeda, Kung Jin, Reptile, Ermac, and Bo' Rai Cho.

My assumption based on their endings from MKX and mentions in other character stories/endings is that Kenshi and Takeda are actively taking on the Red Dragon, and Kung Jin probably tagged along to help out. The stuff that happens on Shang's Island in the Krypt, I imagine, is not necessarily canon.

I'm ok with Kenshi taking a break he's been in every MK since DA as far as I can remember. I do miss Ermac though

Next MK finally seems like its gonna sit out Sonia and Kano so maybe some of the special forces as well. Maybe kenshi will be back then

Rumors say that the next game will be another reboot, also when people are gonna learn that we will never again have a game without Jax, Johnny, Sonya and Kano? One of them might miss a game, but all of them? Seriously?

I think Kano will sit on the bench for MK12, maybe Jax as well. Johnny and Sonya? Highly unlikely.

Same reason ________ isn't in this game either =/

I am kinda happy he is out. He's been in every MK since Deadly Alliance and needs a break.
