Why Wasn't Kitana, and Mileena Played by Talisa Soto in MKA?

This always made me hate MKA just a little. How they twisted the story up pretty good, but one major disappointment was Mileena. Mileena is supposed to be a clone of Kitana right? A clone is a copy. Since the actress Talisa Soto was not in the same shots as Mileena in MKA, why didn't they use her as Mileena too? It would have made a lot more sense to me. Especially when Sonya says: "Kitana?" It doesn't even look like her!

haha, that was the worst part of the movie, when sonya says "kitana" and the mileena says "you wish". she didnt even look like talissa soto at all. She was totally different!

They would have had to pay Talisa Soto more money to play more than one character and they were spending what little money they had on crappy special effects.

Ha, I've never thought about that, I suppose it should have been Talisa Soto. They probably realized how bad an actress she is and thought they should limit her on-screen time as much as possible!

I heard it was b/c Talisa didn't wanna get into that cheesy mud fight. So they had her stunt double do it instead.

But, they would have just taken the same money that they paid Dana Hee and paid it to Talisa Soto instead. Don't think it would affected their budget at all O_o

I'm pretty sure that soto would have demanded more money seeing as how she had a larger role in the film.
