What kind of hair style did Robin Shou have when he played Liu Kang? Any ideas?

Well, (Buddhist) Shaolin Monks are known for having shaven heads which he didn't have in the movie, like this.

Kung Lao and Liu Kang may have had long hair because they weren't (as) committed to the Brahmacariya, like the other monks.
