Maybe the new film idea could have Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung again. Maybe a new idea could have Shang Tsung be revived and kidnapping someone to challenge.

I'd be happy if they took a page outta marvel and they did their own What If? Stories

Make it a mix of Multiverse/Timeline shit with examples like:

What if Scorpion never killed Sub Zero?

What if Reptile never got separated from his race?

What if the great kung lao beat goro?

What if Shao kahn reunited with sindel sooner?

Etc

Maybe Shang Tsung can be voiced by Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa again and maybe Shang Tsung can be revived and kidnap someone or maybe introduce Cassie Cage.
