Does anyone want a mortal kombat in anime form like how the marvel animes are?

It's definitely needed. I mean, even Tekk and SF did it, so why not a full-length anime feature for MK?

Well... for a full-length anime movie. There can be 3 parts... Earthrealm tournament saga, Outworld tournament saga & Outworld/Earthrealm Invasion.
Let funimation take MK in its hands.
No thanks.
The reason I like Mortal Kombat is because it is a western series. I'm not a fan of games like Tekken or Street Fighter, because I'm not huge on the art style and that extends into anime.
I'd rather see a superb western animation team take on MK.

You guys ever watch those Hulk Vs. Movies or The Avengers? Animated series? I'd like MK movies like that, but obviously rated MK lol I agree with ^^^
I'd like to see a western style animation on MK I dont think an animated series but rather animates movies following characters. One could be the Lin Keui stories movie. Special Forces movie, Shaolin Movie Netherrrealm movie. These can be short tidbits giving more depth off-disc to MK characters. Idk if there is one and it's off topic, but I'd like an MK graphic novel explaining MK-MKA. It would include all side missions and allow the newbies a chance to learn MK history and enjoy the experience.

What's wrong with it making an anime MK? I can't be that bad.

But for once, MK should go to the next level once they hit Japan for once.

WELL! Since Japan is gonna have MK, will they have an anime!?

Does anyone want an MK anime now that its selling out in Japan?
I see Liu Kang, Kung Lao & Sub-Zero as the main heroes. Even Scorpion.

I know no one talks about how an anime can be made into MK, but how would you see it happen perfectly?

After three lousy attempts to bump this thread and resurrect the tremendously horrible idea of "animizing" Mortal Kombat, I would thought you would have given the fuck up.

I'm amazed anyone would be turned off by a Japanese animated Mortal Kombat, even if I'm not surprised by it. Something with style and flair, but an eye for the source material, would be a real breath of fresh air.
If WB could do anything Midway never did, I think calling those Animatrix and Gotham Knights partners would rank among the best. A collection of animated shorts by visionary Japanese animators would be infinitely more interesting than what they did with Legacy. The recent Marvel series aren't a bad example, but I think the WB projects reflect a stronger service of the property that MK hasn't had.
Of all the ugly MK fans clichés, objecting to the concept of Asian influences over Mortal Komabt remains one of my favourites. Always a laugh.

I would never, I repeat, I would NEVER EVER give it up. MK will be turned into an anime!

I certainly would not want to see an anime-ized MK. Anime is already played out as is.

You guys do realize there's a difference between "a cartoon created for a Japanese audience about big-eyed schoolgirls or whatever" and "a cartoon that's made in Japan for an American audience because an American company hired them to do it", right?
An MK anime isn't going to be whatever it is you hate about anime, it's just going to LOOK like anime, and be written by white people, like other video games have gotten. Seriously, watch some Netflix, these things tend to turn out okay.

Truth be told, I'd rather see a new MK comic series than an animated show. The storyline deserves way better than the utter mess that was the Malibu series.

What about a web series? Not Legacy, but something animated.

A series would be way better than a single movie, considering how much time it would take to show everything that's supposed to happen, even in just one game.
I dunno if the web is the place for a multiple-episode cartoon series though, has that ever even been tried before? Decent animation costs more to make than live-action does, I think. You'd need a network to sign off and foot the bill, but I haven't seen an American network develop an adult cartoon that isn't comedy since HBO had Spawn in the 90's...unless you count the fact that Adult Swim paid for the creation of the second season of Big O. And that was years ago now too.

What would work is the 13/26 episodic format of most Japanese animated series. That is basically the accepted formula.
The question begs itself: to whom should you give the MK series? I can understand that if the characters look like things out of Madoka, Evangelion and Naruto some people would be pissed.
There is a solution. Some of the animation used in short, i.e. 13 episodic series is exceptionally good, especially the studio did Shigurui (Death Frenzy), which was an EXCEPTIONALLY VIOLENT and realistic series:
-muscle tones worked out during work (while the samurai are massacring each other) in important stillshots of the given battle,
-identifiable and proportional faces and bodies, no distorsion or kawaii stuff,
-especially good lighting and painting.
-gratuitous sex and in some cases rapine stuff.
