They couldnt be gorey anyway. The MPAA let FD2 be that way cause those were accidents not murders or someone killing someone. MK1 could have gotten away with Scorpions toasty, Kanos heart rip deffinatly, since those would fall into the PG-13 catagory of violence.
MK:A Baraka impale lift could have made it, Kitanas Kiss of death , Jaxs arm rip, the pit 2, and couple of others.
Theirs PG-13 violence and R rated violence. Im sure the MPAA site would have a better over view of what is allowed. But since Indiana Jones ToD allowed the heart rip, Kanos fatal could have been in it.

either that, or he knows that better quality is the quality you get witouth relying on blood or other such things.
I prefer just as much blood as it takes to make it look real. And if they just put lots of blood in it, and hope it's cooler that way (flooded with blood), it's gonna be a ketchup fest for small people to say "Ooo" and the ones to look something everyone can't do, actual quality, say it isn't worth much.
edit - isn't FD horror stuff? I don't think MK would want that. Even though I haven't seen FD2, I don't think a story such as MK's, should be a bloodfest. Too much story to waste time on blood. if you have to sneak in the movies... you will if you really like it. Perhaps. BUT, you won't bother if you're not a fan. Does not bring in cash as much to producers, meaning, they won't do it.

I was just saying that because he said the same thing to me when I voiced out my opinion.
And I know this sounds crazy but there is blood in the games. If you look closely enough, you might see it. I'm not saying that there needs to be a truckload of blood in the movie. There just needs to be blood. How can you say that there should be no blood at all?

guys when I wrote a MK3 screenplay (it's only a crappy draft, but certain scenes are written in detail) STORY was the main importance. Let's just say I kinda pulled a Gladiator. AWESOME STORY, with just happens to have lots of justified blood. Ex:
Jarek does the heart rip.
Jarek nearly severs both of Jax's arms (which is why he will need cyber implants for healing, and revenge!)
Jax does the head pop.
SPOILER: Shang Tsung appears and kills Liu Kang like in MKDA (at the end we learn that Quan-Chi is alive and so is Tsung! Bring on MK4).
SPOILER: Quan-Chi blows up Shinnok (like mk4 ending).
Scorpion kills a lot of people by impaling people with his spears.
and the final fight is between a god (Shinnok) and a mortal (Liu Kang), which trust me Shinnok will have the upper hand for the longest time, until he realizes, that he is not all powerful because he realizes his amulet is a fake!

I said there should be no blood? Didn't catch that.
And I am well aware of the blood in movies. Sure it could be it had been disabled for me, but... that's not the case.
Hmm... first the final fight, and then Quan blowing up Shinnok, right? I don't fancy too many people coming back. I liked Shang, but really advise for letting him go, letting him rest. He might be cool to see, but if you think overally, bringing back characters is a sacrifice. Is the gain big enough to make it?
