What did you guys think of Chris' portrayal of Raiden? I thought he did an exceptional job. James Remar's version of Raiden was very bland. The "The fate of billions will depend on you, hahahaha....sorry" line is priceless. I also love at the end when Shao Kahn is like "Bow to me" and Raiden goes "I don't think so".
I know this is pretty much old news but Im on a big Mortal Kombat phase right now.

Its sad that alot of people missed out on mortal kombat:conquest. Jeffery Meeks who played both Raiden and Kahn is waay better than Lambert, he was dark and serious with just a DASH of humor(but rarely)
I think Christopher Lambert did a great job playing Raiden - the voice was perfect for that of a thunder god.
James Remar and Ray Park were okay. There were a couple of good quotes there:
"Who's the girl? Can she fight as good as she looks?" (About Jade)
"I am proud to die...a mortal.....like you." (Raiden's dying words)
"Was I dead?"
My answer: "No, Raiden, you just kinda fell asleep after that seven-second fall...and it only took you forty-eight seconds once you hit the ground - god of useless."
Don't ask why I timed that event nine years ago, or why I still remember the results.
I know a Raiden fan who doesn't like Annihilation because Raiden dies.
It's one of my favorite scenes.
In Conquest, Raiden was one messed-up thunder god, sometimes irritating Kung Lao and his friends.
I remember one time; Siro was working with things that could explode if he wasn't careful.. Raiden comes walking in quietly, then he's like, "Hey!". Siro jumps and Raiden gets scolded for it because Siro almost blew up the table on which he was working.

It's actually Jeff Meek in case anyone's checking on that.
I loved both Lambert and Meek as Rayden. Both really, really great in their own way. If I had to cast one for an MK movie, I wouldn't be able to.

Meek was the guy.
One of the my personal favourite humouristic lines in Conquest was this:
Raiden is quite drunk in his mortal form and is bringing a prostitute to the trading post. He knocks but nobody answers, so he strikes down the door with a lightning blast, and the prostitute is like "wooow Ray! How'd you do that?" and Raiden's unforgettable line "That was just a taste of my sparking personality!".
Awesomeness.

About Me
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

Yeah, Lambert and Meek did a great job in Jack Burton's opinion...I'm just a bit skeptical as to whether or not they should bring back Lambert to portray Raiden in the next MK movie...I did the math on his age, and he's getting up there, I won't lie. I'd really love to see Raiden in more fight scenes because he's my favorite character. That was one of the only positive things I had to say about the second MK movie, that Raiden actually had two big fight scenes.
If they do go with Lambert, I won't object at all, but again...fight scenes would be awesome.
And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

That explains so many things.
The woman called him "Ray" because she was too dim to pronounce Rayden's name correctly (she said "Raymen"). It's not that hard to say, really.
