I would've liked the Scorpion vs. Johnny Cage fight to have been longer, it might have been better if the spear went into Johnny.

My 2nd fav was the Scorpion / Johnny Cage - it was very well done, and your right it should have been longer, but maybe a rematch for MK3??? Both Chris Cassamassa (Scorpion) and Linden Ashby (Cage) are said to have agreed to be in the new movie.

Yeah I agree, Reptile v. Liu Kang was pretty rock.
But I really enjoyed the entire Outwold sequence, so the final showdown was pretty cool as well. Except for those warriors. They were sorry excuses for fighters

Toss up between Scorpion vs. Johnny Cage and Liu Kang vs. Reptile for me.

I think the most disappointing fight scene was Liu Kang vs. Sub-Zero. Not that it was bad, just it was too short and not that immpressive.

Couldnt of said it better myself. The liu kang and subzero fight was boring to me. Not to much crazy action, and it seemed short and slow paced. It was also as if subzero was trying to escape liu kang alot.

But anyway, the scorpion vs johnny fight was awesome, one of my favourite scenes. Scorpion looks bad ass, and the martial arts was great.

But my favourite would have to be reptile vs liu kang. The scenery is great, the fighting is great, the music is awesome, and reptile is a great warrior. Very good fight.

I wish the whole Scorpion/Johnny Cage fight stayed in the forest. I thought that looked super cool, all the trees and shit

Yeah Reptile looked as though he was a better fighter, and I think that scene was longer than Liu vs. Subby and Johnny vs. Scorpion (I don't know that for a fact - is that true?)

Johnny Cage vs Scorpion was the best, Liu Kang vs Reptile was cool too.

I definitly think Reptile vs Liu Kang was the best fight.

Scorpion vs Johnny Cage, followed by Liu Kang vs Reptile. The ones with more martial arts than SFX impress me more. For an irrelevant character, that dreadlock guy's fight with Liu was quite good too (except the stupid sound editing).

I like Cage vs. Goro myself.
It wasn't really that much of a fight, but it looked the most painful, and it was damn entertaining.

I have to say the Cage vs Scorpion match was great and the best stunts.

The scorpion vs Johnny cage fight was the best in my opinion.Countless arguements ensued about how scorpion was clearly the better fighter, and how cage had to cheat to win.The second best was reptile versus liu kang.

Johnny Cage vs. Scorpion. That fight is just so entertaining. It's just so awesome, there is no comparison. It is one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen in a movie. Words can't describe how much I love this fight.

Plus with Fear Factory "Zero Signal" as the background music, you can't go wrong.

That fight is the best. No contest.

Scorpion vs. Johnny Cage, with Reptile vs. Liu Kang a close second

Reptile -v- Liu Kang was the best. It had a good, dark setting, upbeat music and a good fight. Even though Reptile kicked Lui's ass for the most pasrt it seemed liked nothing was hitting at all.

How is it in these movies that a bad guy can beat the crap out of the good guy and it seems that they don't get "hurt" but when the good guys kicks ass then the bad guy seems to get weaker?

guess its just how the film industry works

i totally agree.johnny vs scorpion was the best-great martial arts,great music and a good recreation of scorpion's fire breath fatality.
there wasnt much to the cage/goro match but it was funny.And the best thing about the matches was that both times THE MAN came out the winner!

It's called "crappy coreography".

I don't think any of the fights in the first movie really stands out, but I guess I like Liu Kang/Reptile the best.

in my mind-

scorpion vs cage- best fight of course. outmatches everything. scorp was clearly the winner...if cage didnt stumble upon that razor edged shield and spear. scorp was better by far

reptile vs liu- a good second. the setting was sweet and the way reptile fought in the snake and lizard stances were exactly what i expected out of rep. i wouldve liked a acid spit or forceball. but i loved the fight.

sub-zero vs liu- i thought it was okay. subz shouldve used a lot more ice shots than just the shield attack. and i think the reason why the crew had subz flip and evade alot(i know im repeating myself) is prob to show subz's superiority in fighting over not just liu, but prob also scorp. they crew prob wanted it to seem like subz was more advanced than scorp and liu by not having to block lui's attacks. i know im prob getting way too deep in the fight, but thats my opinion. scorp could beat subz though any day
