Anyway, back to the topic,
it's pretty nice looking, Jade. Though, I think Mavado looks too cartoony compared to the rest of the pic. The Max Payne sprite is pretty cool.

Yeah, I put in the pics 3 cool characters that I personally love: Max Payne, Captain Sparrow and Mavado.

Mavado looks more cartoony because I used an existing sprite from another game...I don't remember which one right now lol...

...You mean you didn't make the Mavado sprite?

I mean that I used some body parts(that I edited anyway) from another sprite and drawned the rest. ;)

So, you drew the sprites for the most part, correct? Anyhow, its pretty nice. I agree Mavado looks a bit cartoonish, and also in the face it doesn't really remind me much of Mavado. But the other sprites are very nice looking, I especially like the captain. The 'spark' between their blades is pretty nice, well placed. Max Payne is a nice addition to this, fits the overall feel of this I think. Though, I think he somewhat 'stands out', in my opinion he should be darken or given some shadows around him a bit. Also, nice work on actually giving Mavado and Captain Sparrow shadows. Its not a 'true' fake to say, so I really don't think any of the standard things are needed, its great as it is.

I do like the background quite alot, the shadowing on the floor is wonderful. The ship part of the background was well chosen, the lighting effects on it are perfect. The idea of all this seems to be quite well thought out, very cool idea and concept here, I like it.

well... that explains why i dont really recognize the other 2, i thought they were all from mk and i was trying to place them, lol. This is pretty nice, but it doesnt stand out to much good from other pictures, oh well its still nice.

Thanks! Specially to Crow that made a good criticism ...I think when it's involved a bground with a sunset it's always difficult to make shadows and color effects to each object. It's a good exercise and it helps me with real paintings.

Well the only little problem I have with this is the Mavado sprite. But other than that, I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Great stuff; love the background design.

Well, I noticed most of you have problems with Mavado...maybe because it's the only one that has body parts taken from an existing Capcom(not sure) character....

well jade, i may think that some of these drawings and pictures some of these people put up here are ignorant and ridiculous, though i dont think that about your work, your an amazing artist, i give this, 5 dragons
