I totally agree with Tim on this. I love the amount of detail and effort you put into this. He has the hat; he has the costume, he has the good shading; he's got the electricity/lightning stuff. I give it a 5 out of 5.

Yes, I do believe you had the right to capitalize "THE", because this is THE best this one can get. I love the lightning, its perfect. The part around his eyes gives him an extremely powerful appearance. His face is so detailed, you can see all his bone structures! The facial hair is also a nice little touch, very cool. The hat has that great lighting effect, and this whole thing is shaded excellently. His hands are almost unbelieveable to me, these are just so detailed, right down to the cuticles. Costume is excellent, looks like it has a nice texture to it. And the muscles you can see on his neck are just perfect, there is no way you can improve anything about this anywhere. You say your scanner ate some of the details? If the picture is more detailed than this in person... then I am simply at a lose for words. This is a true masterpiece in my opinion, excellent job.

The hand is a little strange a he looks more Asian than he ever has but very well done. With a tough medium too, I can't remember the last time I made something in chalk or pastels.

The scan made the hand loose the detail that made it look right... It lost some shading so it kinda looks like its backward... I actually did it in pencil and charcoal... The chalk was to do the lightning highlits... No pastels... I find that those don't really scan that well unless they are properly fixed... So that they don't reflect the light of the scanner...

excellent job, there is something about his mouth, it looks aqward to me, maybe im missing something, but amazing overall.

very cool, the shading was done quite well, but i have a few picky things about it. the nose and mouth look a little small, and the shading on the face makes it look a bit flat. another thing im picky about is the lightning, it just doesn't look convincing to me. i know you spent alot of time on it, but i think you over did the branching effect of the lightning, making it look more like plant roots than lightning. go to yahoo and search for "lightning" and click on the pics tab, take a look at the first pic in the second row, that looks alot like what you're tryin to do. it's still pretty good though, 4/5

It's really incredible. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. I give it a 5/5.

He, so you used "CARLOS" Pesina as a model. I'm pretty sure "CARLOS" isn't asian any more than Chris is.

No, you’re right... He isn't... But I did only use him as a basic model, just bone structure really... Most of it was just over done to show the age and gauntness of his overall features...

Yeah the face does look flat... Same thing with the hand though scanner messed it up too... I know what you mean about the lightning... I actually wanted it like that... I've always like the creeping type of feel that tree roots have... That's exaclty what I was going for...

Thanks for the picking though... Kinda hard to get some people to be willing to say that without being afraid...

The hand is the first thing I see because it's in front. But it's all messed up. I think it would have been better if his hand was facing up instead of awkwardly position like that. Looks like he's doing some kind of snake hand technique but his thumb is facing the wrong way and there's lightening coming out for some reason. Sorry the hand just ruins the whole thing for me, but that's just my opinion. So please don't take any offence in it.
