Its not a wolf actually, its a fox.
Which as I explained in the description of THIS image, in my fanfics he was a child of a kitsune which are Fox demons (techically the word means fox but also reffers to the mythological creature)

I make that his background to explain Shang Tsungs ablities in shape shifting, soul stealing, and his fire balls which look alot like a kistune whisp..

I can appreciate the concept, these characters can get so stale after awhile it's good to see some change up in them.

The coloring is pretty good, you might try making the fox look a little more misty. Everything else has a nice painted effect.

The problem I really have is with the drawing itself. I can see why everyone keeps confusing the fox with a wolf, foxes don't really look much like that. They're very small unintimidating creatures. I would have thought otherwise except 2 weeks ago my big male cat killed a fox that intruded on our property. Beautiful creature, in a small Chiuaua kind of way.

Shang's face is the other problem. This looks like the cartoon version of Jackie Chan. I don't mean that it's drawn bad just that that look takes away from the whole picture. Shang should always look very menacing in my opinion.

Sorry, I know I usually have more positive things to say about your work. Understand, I think it's a very skillfully drawn and colored piece. There are just a few things as mentioned above that don't do it for me.

I know what foxes look like, though the one your cat killed must have been small/young or a small speiece eg kitfoxs and fennecfoxs are quite small.

Typically the red fox (which I was drawing) is larger the a house cat.
Seeing as the two red fox skulls I own are larger then both bobcat skulls I have..
And bobcats are larger then housecats. Red Foxes aren't a massive creature more around the size of a coyote but they aren't Chihuahua sized at all!

But back to the point, in mythology kitsune aren't really a creature you screw with. Since most myths they are downright malevolent. And I was trying to draw the fox spirit it a more tradional japanese way, which they tend to look more like cats in.

Meh don't worry about saying positive things, not to sound bitter or anything.
I draw for my own amusement. If people like it thats great, if people don't.. Meh I still do.. =)
