I colored this for a user over on MKOutworld and wanted to post it here. So dont credit me for the drawing, credit for that goes to MKOutworld Member Steve_1790. Well, not much else to say about it, just that Im really excited about it and personally think it is my best coloring job. Enjoy! :-)

A fantastic go of colouring that it must have been incredably difficult. The head on Sektor looks rather small but 1.Its been pointed out and 2.It werent you that did it.You have done the mist around the mountains it makes it look like a cold and bitter night. The arch thing could be coloured in a darker shade of red.Sektors anatomy is a bit plain but nt you fault.
A tip for next time would be not to colour in a picture that flaws will be pointed out why should you colour in something and get a load of guff??? also concentrate on it being night thing could be darker shades.
Overall it is a decent drawing but a better colouring a few flaws but non to major hope to see more colourings from you maybe one or two drawings occasionally 4/5 from me.

Yeah, I meant to say that I knew the head was a little messed up in my comment, but believe it or not, I fixed that in the coloring process, his face used to be longer. Thanks for the comments guys!

Nice man 5/5, there's nothing wrong with the head.Same pose as the vs. Screen Sektor from MK:A though I see, that's cool.

Finally, I get to my prodigy’s post.
I’m so proud, I could cry, tamed. (don’t expect me to call you anything else, that what I know you as
)
You did an excellent job coloring this picture, as I’m sure you’re aware. You even managed to fix a few of the small problems that existed in the pencil sketch.
You’ve crammed a lot of detail into the edit and everything looks very crisp. The only problem I see with the actual part you did was not use the moon’s light to its’ full extent. This should have been backlit just like the Scorpion drawing you did. The light on the backside of Sektor looks really good but the front facing parts should be darker. Add in a few shadows cast by his head and left arm and this thing would be golden!
Bravo

OK, For the critique...
You did a good job, but there are a few things that need some tweaking.
I did a paint over, so you can see what I'm talking about.
The first thing I noticed was that everything is too bright.
The image doesn't have a strong enough focus on the most important area = Sektor.
I tried to fix that by making the separation between him and the background more obvious. Muting the background a bit to make him pop.
Second thing was that the light source didn't make sense with the world he's in.
The moon and the swords are the main light sources, so these need to shine more on him with the color they emit.
If something shines blue, make blue highlights on the object, if it shines red, make red highlights on the object.
Also, since the light is mainly coming from the back, I got rid of the strong highlights on his front and added more shadow instead.
Since the moon is emitting a blue light, the entire world should have some of that tone. I made a full layer of light blue and overlaid it on the entire image. That helps bring everything together, making it look like they are all in the same environment.
I fixed the shape of Sektors head and other little areas. Then I added a grip to his left sword. You guys forgot to add that.
I added some texture to Sektor's body, to make him look like he's been through some battles. Made him a little dirty and added some scratches.
I added some texture to the entire image, to make it a little sharper using paint style filters. Very subtle...
I used the sharpen brush to make the metal shine more in some areas.
That's about it, let me know if you have any questions.

Basically it's understanding of how things look, lots of practice and listening to advise from the masters.

Great job with that. The pic itself is awsome, except for the face (cant hold that against you though). But the colouring is... wow. You are nearly as skilled as people like Aculeus and Keith (NOTE: that is a compliment as they are amazing) - great job with that. I would give it
4.5/5
(.5 lost for not drawing it yourself)

No doubt, you are one of the best colorists I've seen on this site.
The ability to make a coloring stand on it's own without the aid of pencil lines, is a big sign of skill.
Keep at it, you have a LOT of potential.
