My only gripe with this fake is that you used the top half of Reptile from his MKT ending & the bottom half from his MK2 outfit. The stance (legs) doesn't work out IMO. Other than that, fantastic. I don't rate fakes anymore...cuz that is lame, & I am above lameness.

You know, when I first saw this, I didn't realize it was yours, I really thought it was someone else who made this. Alas, there are quite of few areas that need improvement, however, I will hit some of the biggest things that are bugging me.

The proportions on Reptile are way fucked up. If you're going to resize renders/v.s. poses, please try to match up the perspective with the rest of the sprites. I would say that the whole upper body on Reptile needs to come down about 7-10%.

Your Shinnok sprite is a decent attempt of recreating him, however, some of his attire just doesn't contrast enough with the background or the rest of his attire to really notice. That, and some parts just seem too soft, others too shiny. But props on attempting the edit. I can tell you haven't edited in a while.

the last thing I wanted to hit on was the whole "serpent" thing... It doesn't look like a serpent at all... It looks something more like a novel-to-movie Stephen King monstrosity, hell it even looks like that in regards of how bad it looks... too soft in my opinion.

That's all I really want to point out, cause I am sure people will point out the good things you did.

The only things that really bugged me were the skull statues in the background (ie: how you can still see the black outline of the green screeny things), as well as the disproportionated reptile torso (though that was a really clever move) and the fact that it's not the size of a normal fake.

Other than that I was really happy with this, and even more thrilled when I found out it was yours! The background is really cool despite it being too big for a conventional fake and the shinnok edit is really cool (cos hey, most of it has to be made from scratch). Was the serpent thing made from scratch? Much better than anything I could pull off.

It loos like u shrunk down the v.s pic 4 reptile am i right?I dont care 4 arctic's sprite work,but on the plus side at least you try'd to do somthing different than most of the other fakes.Too green tho id have like to seen some different colors in your b.g might have help seperate the sprites from blendin so much i had a similar problem with mine 2.It would have been cool if your plant would have rapt around him and a few times with his head an torso seprated.You could of had his guts stringing out along with his spinal cord that would have been insane.Overall its deffinatly not the worst ive seen tho.Nice idea's man

Looks like you had a good idea, and creativity, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
ESPECIALLY the whole ''Reptile vs screen top half of the body'' thing. It's a good idea, but come on, it looks so much bigger than his lower half.

Thanks for all the feedback. People need to understand that this fake was rushed and I don't have the best reliable resources to get it done. (I.E: college campus and Internet cafe places. I actually have Photoshop saved onto a USB thingy ). I will redo it probably when I'm done with some minor projects I’m brainstorming. MKRocket and Fedegita, you might recall that I be writing ideas onto paper and this fake was one of those. I'm glad people like the idea. I feel like I at least get some recognition for that. That means a lot since that's always my intention. I can never pull something off like MKRocket and Fedegita who is becoming one of the best. I hope to at least inspire someone that anything can be possible. Anyways, at this point, I got an animation working on and I really want to thank Maggo for replying to my message....

Gee ya know, I think the last time I saw something this disgusting was when I happeend to look at my TP after whiping my ass to see how much shit was left in my crack. Reasons why it sucks so bad and why you should QUIT:
I just wanted to get your blood racing for a second there. Seroiusly though you've come a long way from when I first "met" you. I can't remember what your first fake looked like, but I do remember shaking my head and saying "man I gotta help this guy out." It's good to see that you've still got some talent in your rusty toolshed. You've got the potential to be better than I am. You always did especially if you look at my first fakes and how long it took me to improve.

I like the recreation of Reptile's lair, it's a lot better than my attempt was when I made that fake with Cage and Kai. Honestly, I know you could have done a lot better on Reptile's sprite. I can tell you must have ran out of time because that's the only thing that really makes your fake bad. MK2 pants and UMK3 torso... yeah it would have been a bad ass sprite if you had been able to put more time in it and sized it accordingly.

That snake, wow, how the fuck did you draw that? I can tell you right now I wouldn't make a snake half as good as that. I like the blood splatters on the props of the BG. All those are edited nicely except a few drops that obviously didn't get touched.

I really like the Shinnok sprite. A few things I'd fix are his chest and edit his face so it didn't look so much like Cage. Also his hat seems a bit odd but it might be my monitor's brightness. Another thing I like is how your stage actually looks a bit more 3D as if it has some depth to it. Mine** (edited typo) looked like flat paper.

You're real score is a 4/5... only cause I know you could have done better with more time and practice.

I can never go up against someone who I have the outmost respect for in this community. How long I know you and give you credit for being the only mofo to help me become the person I am today? I believe that number is more times you been bench pressing. Since 2002ish does seem like an exact number.

I do remember my first fake. VenoMark sure as hell toured me a new asshole when I started fake pic making. My intention is never to become better than anyone else; even you. Everyone has their own skill and ability that makes them distinct from everyone else. I’m more of an editing/tweaking person with a wild-ass imagination. Just look at my avatar: someone pallet swap the render for me and I just pasted onto an animated Living Forest I got from MK2KungBroken. My signature: StonedSour brush the background and blended the demonic face while I pallet swap the color, added the render and edited the Doom font. So there is just no way I can be “better” than you. Your fakes have always kicked ass even when you’re not making them in your full potential. (That explains why I was optimistic if that was really you under a new account; I didn’t mean no disrespect).

Anyways...I remember when we were chatting and I showed you 2 fakes I composed; one was a Quan-Chi vs. Shinnok and the other was my first attempt at making a background which was a 2-D version of Reptile’s Lair. You later showed me your beta version and holy crap did it knock what I did. It really inspired me to one day redo what I had to something similar to yours; using a Cage sprite as a base to make a Shinnok sprite. Using 2-D BG props to corporate them into “3-D” look. Here I am, years later and I still demonstrate how much of an impact you had in my images. Thank you.

I was already starting to make the MK4 Reptile but the thing that was irking me was the goofy purple pants. It was a last minute thing to add MKII Reptile’s lower half; I completely messed up on the proportions. I really bombed on the Shinnok sprite. I was emphasizing more on how to make his eyes glow then the shading. It was a stupid decision but I was attempting to not make it look too “Cage” like. Grrr.

The “snake” wasn’t really made entirely from scratch. It was from Venom’s Venom Bite that I cut out, resized and it gave me some weird pattern looking thingy; all I did was use the clone stamp and continue making the design. Sometimes even I amaze myself.

I wouldn’t mind making an “Official” return to fake pic making. It’s just really hard to find and make an original idea. To be blunt, I actually have original ideas for animations then fake. But I’ll still do whatever I can to make something here and there. Thanks for the kind words, man.
