This would just be a VERY rough sketch of a purely conceptual MK Character of mine named Rayven. She is an Outworld escapee who was enslaved by Shao Kahn, and who now resides in Netherealm and is affiliated with the Brotherhood of the Shadow. I suck at drawing, and this is by far not finished, I just want some tips on how I do so far and how I could finish it. And yes, I do know she has no face.

well the body looks ok for the most part, i dont know why u didnt add a face it really puts down the drawing in my opinion because it wouldnt have been that bad with one...I like the costume its simple but nice, not your ordinary ninja costume i guess, it looks like you tride to make her right arm against the wall if you are it needs to be slanted up more, just add soem shading and a face, and this would be good piece.

hey!!!!!!!!
that looks pretty kool if you ask me, its got potental (sp?)
rough sketch yes . another draft and a face and we might have a new MK character.
i like what you have so far for the clothes. is the back netting?? i like it
boots- very plain... :(
add more to them, sounds hard, play around and it shoudln't take long to come up with some kool looking boots
i like how the skin goes all the way up on the sides very sexy.
hair- simple, not much here (sketch)
add more layers to the hair low-lights and high-lights and maybe some waves to it, hair is hard at first but believe me it does get easier
all in all i like this, i don't like much art but this is kick ass or at least could kick ass with another draft.
bottom line:
sketch- 8/10
concept- 5/10
skills- 6.5/10
i'd like to do a draft of her, someday.
with permission of course.

well now lets see, heres what i like about this pic
1) you did the picture very nicely
2) the picture itself is very very clean, you show you take care of them as i can see you didnt edit the dirt off, though not alot of dirt is on it
3) the high heel knee high boots are very nicely details, and that the heels look like they are theyre own part of the shoes (as high heel shoes the heel is its own part)
4) the clothes is a very nice touch and choice, very clean
5) your pretty good with the hand (alot of people have problems drawing hands as they are the hardest part of the anatomy to draw)
6) the hair you did very very nicely.
heres the things you could of done
1) you could of given the body some shaded parts
2) you could of added a face, though since this is a new character idea that probaly is what is with it
and thats all i can see wrong about this picture, its very very nicely done, so i rate this, four dragons

I like it, but there's too much Sareena over the drawing, but maybe that's done on purpose...

First off I wouldn't post it for review if it's unfinished like this, especially if your just looking for pointers on finishing.
This pic actually looks like it's got great potential. You may want to refine the hand a little more. It's good but is starting to lose it's definition. The proportions and anatomy are great.
Are you using reference photo's for this? That's not a slam, use any aid to make your pic more realistic. I was on Alex Ross' web site the other day and he had some photo's of himself working. The funny thing is he had dozens of reference photo's of people around his drawing board. There are no rules to drawing.
I would add a little more definition to the hair. Right now it's got the cap effect going on. You've really only just begun to define this character simply because of the missing face. The face is like drawing the body all over again. As mentioned before the clothes could use a little more definition. The shading is too flat right now. If you plan on coloring it, this can be done then. If that is the case though, you need to get rid of the shades as they make it more difficult.
Boy, that was all over the place.
I hope that helps somehow.

Damn, no face at all, eh? Oh well, I guess I review it or something. So, no face, the hand looks mangled up a bit, but your anatomy's good with the exception of the head, which doesn't look like it fits with the body.
So, 2/5. Hold on, this is like 3 years old. WTF?
