Hmm. Well first off, I just would like to question you about the name. Its really VERY close to 'Sareena', a little to close in my opinion. Just a thought, but whats in a name? On to the actual drawing now..

Ok well, the first thing I notice is something that could be barb wire running up her arms. This is very cool looking to me, and a very original idea I might add. The face is also interesting, I like the effects around the eye, thats cool looking. Your drawing always are in proportion, you deserve alot of credit there. I also like this pose she is in personally. But to me, it needs something more costume wise, to tell this character apart from Sonya. This outfit is quite similar to Sonya, besides the parts I have already mentioned. Nice drawing though, and I wouldn't say you are 'flooding' the boards. These are all very cool, so keep them coming.

This personally reminds me more of Kitana, with the hair and the outfit, but either way this is a very nice concept.
Everything is perfectly in proportion, as usual, and I love all the shading and extra details you added.
Her face seems to have the perfect expression, to match the rest of her look.

I chose the name saleena since I love the saleen S7. Ok, heres her bio but before I start I want to point out her bio introduces a new character that I already drew. its pretty kool, Ill show you guys later for sure!

Bio: Saleena was a respected cleric in all of Edenia(sic). She was known for her beauty as well as her ability to heal the wounded. She was so well renowned of her faculty that people across the land would travel hundreds of miles just to see her. Yes, Saleena had it all; she was rich, had a loving husband, five gorgeous children and also, she was quite eminent. But all things have a habitude of turning bad. It was one of those dark, obscure days with no light at all. It seemed like the sun had distinguised and the moon had died. To make certain precautions, the people of the village shut the gates of its town to keep whatever evil was lurking. The darkness was as inviting as a tumor, no one was safe. Suddenly a great force smashed the gates wide open, and then, 'he' walked in. A man with deadpool eyes. It was like staring into a hollow skull. He was covered with black veins and tatoo's of mythic scyptures and drawings of the pentacle. He then plagued everyone in site, he was death. He gave everyone a different sickness. Smallpox, ebola to pathological conditions that have never been heard of. The difference between what he brought and the everyday disease was that the infections grew rapidly, it was hysterically impossible for such a thing to happen. Everyone died except for Saleena. The man had no visible agenda, what was his purpose? More importantly he killed everyone except Saleena. But instead he gave her a obsolete illness. Her body showed ugly markings of decomposing flesh. Her body was literally falling apart. Her eyes showed blood and nothing more. And everything she touched would wither away and die. She was a walking abomination. She crawled up into a ball and watched the stranger walk away laughing insanely. Saleena got up and saw her friends, family... her children rotting with disfigured bodies. Flies seemed to own the town now. Knowing that she doesn't have much time to live, she sets out to get her revenge, to kill that son of a bitch who stole her life and killed the ones she held dear.(She only has a little time by the way since her body is decomposing very slowly)

That's brutal man. The drawing doesn't really portray the rotting aspect as much as the bio does. Perhaps it's just the beginning phases. Once again great drawing, I love the sketches. Now I can't wait for this walking death that's plagued her so.

Hahaha, yeah, after thinking about it, it sounds pretty lame hahaha. In a way it ruined the atmosphere, ah shit.

Marc Silvestri an influence on you at all?

Sorry but I have no idea who he is. The people who inspired me most are probably Greg Capullo, he worked on the "Spawn" comics 16 to 99, Ashley Wood who does the "Hellspawn" Comics as well as many significant covers for other comics, mostly "Sam & Twitch". And the most influential is probably my friend Chris. His drawings really set a new par for me. He had some awesome stuff. I actually have a painting I made which has nothing to do with MK, but its probably my best work. I would scan it and show you by email but the scanner is way too small. I might take a picture of it though. I really love it.

Silvestri has done comics for Image/TopCow such as Cyberforce, Shadowhawk and The Darkness and your style is very reminiscent of his is all.

If you had a Digicam and used that, you should see on posting the image of the painting on here, or even a scanned photo.
Might not be MK so it can't be submitted via upload, but it is applicable to the forum overall being Art in and of itself.

Yeah Capullo has really tight pencils/inks and Ashley Wood's work is really good too. His style reminds me a bit of Bill Sienkcowitz' (sp) paintings/style.
They actually are making figures for Spawn based off of Wood's covers which is kinda neat.

Oh, Hey!! Marc Silvestri created "The Darkness"! That comic is so dope. To bad the series is over, it was totally awesome. Yeah your right, man. Silvestri is totally awesome, my stuff can't even touch his.

I agree with TimsMK, that was cheesy. And maybe she should get a new name. We have Sareena, we don't need Seelena really. But the drawing looks cool. You are one of the best artists in this site I think. It's a nice drawing, but really you need to stop writing cheesy things lol.

I would really like to see a drawing of Sonya from you, maybe? Or Johnny Cage. Or anyone you see appearing in my icon :) If you want.
