(In the Netherrealm, we see Shinnok wondering around, looking rather beat up.)

(Shinnok is approached by an Oni, wearing a long brown cloak)

Quan Chi: Shinnok...

Shinnok: Leave me be Oni, or I will see to it personally that you never pester me again.

Quan Chi: Hahaha, you are in no position to make threats, fallen Elder God.

Shinnok: You will die, Oni!!

(QUAN CHI vs NPC SHINNOK)

(Shinnok falls to the ground)

Quan Chi: My name is Quan Chi, and I understand you are searching for a very powerful amulet. I wish to aid you in your quest. (Quan Chi offers Shinnok a hand)

(Cut to Lucifer, the overlord of the Netherrealm, sitting in his throne. A guard approaches)

Guard: My lord, an Oni by the name of Quan Chi wishes to speak to you.

Lucifer: An Oni wishes to speak to me? Hahahaha. Send this foolish Oni back to where he came from.

(The camera quickly moves toward the entrance of the throne room, with the two men guarding the door being killed by Quan Chi)

(Lucifer commands the Guard next to him to attack, but Quan Chi throws a green flaming skull at him)

Quan Chi: Now, my lord, it is just me and you.

Lucifer: How dare you force your way into my throne room, and challange me!?

Quan Chi: You are pathetic, and now you will fall at the hand of Quan Chi!!

(QUAN CHI vs NPC LUCIFER)

(Shinnok enters the room)

Lucifer: Shinnok!! (Lucifer struggles to get up, but has been nearly killed by Quan Chi)

Shinnok: Had I the strength, I would've killed you myself. After all these years, I will finally be the master...

(Quan Chi pulls Lucifer off the ground and jumps on his shoulders. Grabbing him by the horns, he begans to pull. We see a close up of Lucifers neck being slowly pulled and begans to rip apart. Quan Chi continues to pull, even after the head has come off, pulling up Lucifer's spine with it. Quan Chi jumps off of Lucifers shoulders, and he falls to the ground, with his head hanging from his spine, which is now pulled up from his body.)

(Ending animation style)

Raiden: With Shinnok as the new leader of the Netherrealm, he gave Quan Chi the powers of Arch-Sorcerer, and made him his most trusted servant.

Raiden: As Shinnok began constructing an army, Quan Chi would continue to search for Shinnoks amulet. If the amulet were found, Shinnok could escape from the Netherrealm.
