ISSUE #1
Loud thunder sounds.
Heavy rain and wind
Ext. Shang tsungs island far image.
As the camera is zooming towards the island you can see details of some of mk 1 backgrounds such as the pit. As the camera zooms more you can see the stairs to Shang tsung throne room wet because of the rain and we start hearing fight sound effect.
The camera reaches the door of shangs throne room, the door opens showing the background of the stage.
Int. throne room
Two characters are fighting but you cant really see who are they as we can see only their shadows.
Zoom on kuglao back showing the Chinese character, then we see goro's back showing us that whatever that thing is it has four arms.
Next shot we see kung lao in his fighting stance, then goro spreading his arm and screaming ``AAAAARGHHHH''.
Kung lao then jumps on goro with a flying punch, goro gets hit and try to do a reverse punch on kunglao who duck to evade it and right after that he does a summersault kick.
Goro get a direct hit and fall on his back, he then roll back to stand and jump on kung lao with his head stomp.
Kung does a side jump to evade and he succeeds, kung lao then hammer goro with a series of punches and then a roundhouse kick sending goro flying to the side, the fight seems to be over king lao turn his back on goro and start walking towards the door. Goro stands up and does long jump to step directly in front of kung lao.
Kung lao use his roundhouse kick again but goro blocks it, he them trying to punch him but goro catches both the punches with his lower arms, and start hammering kung lao with his upper arms finishing it with a two hands uppercut sending kung lao flying to the second floor of the throne room.
Goro jumps up following his close to death enemy he then hold kung lao from his head band with his lower arms while kung lao, on his knees, seems unconscious, a voice from a dark corner of the throne room says `` finish him'' goro then raises his right upper arm and while his giving the final blow....
Cut to the logo of mortal kombat with title MORTAL KOMBAT.
Ext . a dojo on the Himalaya mountains.
500 years later.
We can see a young man (liu kang) kicking a wooden dummy outside of the dojo.

ISSUE #2:
Ext Mountain.
Liu kang kicking and punching a wooden dummy, he then closes his eyes and says to himself I need to focus more..
Switch to kang memory
``you need to focus more'' a young man telling a young liu kang, ``remebre little brother haf the strength comes from the mind'' added the man who is no other that liu kang long missing brother Chow kang (according to the official mk1 booklet)
``yes older brother'' liu kang replied with an innocent face and smiled. While young liu kang is trying to focus he closes his eyes and then strange sound came from his stomach he looked at his brother who is laughing at him and saying `` hahaha liu kang don't forget that the other half of the strength comes from food hahaha, lets go eat'' he took his little brother from his hand as they walk away.
Cut to the present time, liu kang open his eyes and does a flying kick on the dummy that brakes in half.
``already training so early'' said a wise old voice from inside the dojo.
An old man with long hair, beard and a scarred face peeked from the dojo.
``good morning master boraicho I hope I did not wake you up''
Bo raicho (who looks different and much better and wiser than a fat old puking jerk) replied `` don't forget the council of the white lotus society is waiting for you as we speak.
``I will leave at once master cho''
Liu kang walked away from the dojo on his way to the secret white lotus society.
``do you think he is ready'' bo raicho says even though no one appear to be with him,
Suddenly lightning sparked and rayden showed up replying ``believe me old friend, he is''
Cut to show the white lotus society, a chineese looking temple with couple monks outside we can see also liu kang walking towards the door.
Int white lotus society,
An old man who appears to be the grand master of the temple is sitting on a large chair and many monks around him as liu kang approaches the old man says: `` Liu...''
Liu kang kneeld and replies ``yes grand master''.
The old man: `` It is no suprise to you nor to us that you have been chosen to represent earthrealm in the sacred toutnament, since young age you have training for this task, you devoted your life to perfection of your martial art and your state of mind, liu kang you are the best of our secret society, no one could deny that, as it is the rules of the tournmanet I have to ask you do you accept this invitation'' the old hands liu kang the MK tournament invitation liu kang looks at it then at his master and replied :
``I accept the invitation and I will honor the white lotus society and the soul of my brother chow, I will not fail, that is my promise''.
A shadow appeared to have been spying we can only see his sharp hat and his smile and then he says `` good luck friend''.
