It's awful European-looking for a Liu Kang dragon, with all the bone spurs and whatnot. Chinese dragons tend to be more snake-like and have stuff like whiskers. Artistically it's very impressive, though. I love the level of detail. It reminds me of the art of the dragons in my D&D Monster Manual.

Thank you! I didn't want to make the dragon too tradionally like a lung dragon, but I should have referenced it by adding whiskers and a beard. I added the spikey horns and bony crests to make it look more extreme, but I guess it made the dragon look too european. **** PS. I know that it doesn't look asian so there is no need to repeat it. I love this piece, it inspires me to somehow get a pet dragon to befriend and protect me from unwanted terrors.

But as mentioned, it looks nothing like what an MK dragon would. However, there are a few Elder Gods, so if each of them have their own unique looks, this shouldn't be too far off.

I say its over designed way too much something more simple would have done better i mean yeah artistically its drawn well but to much going on and it looks like a damn puzzle.

Doesnt look the the mk dragon i wouldnt consider it for the mk dragon

I think it looks pretty good mate. Would look even better with a redesign of Kang to go with it :)

And it's always great to see artists redefine how we traditionally think of "mortal kombat" and breathe some new, imaginative life into it. I'd personally love to see Liu Kang's dragon take on a look more akin to this.

I think this a really well done and detailed piece of work here. Good job taking a classic symbol and redefining it.

I think it would actually make sense for the Elder Gods to take different appearances like this. for example, if they appeared in Europe or America, it would make sense for them to take on a Western dragon theme, and not an Eastern design.

I would love to see you make one with a full body and color it. Then post both the uncolored version and the colored one. I feel as if this design would make a sick red or black dragon (nothing to do with the MK clans.... just the color).

I like it as a dragon, but not as the MK dragon. It just doesn't have the right shape to it. Don't get me wrong, I normally love a little change, but the dragon is arguably what defines the series. I think there needs to be more to define it as "The MK Dragon" instead of just an average dragon.

Don't take it the wrong way, it's a great drawing indeed. What I said above is just how i feel about it. By the way, if you ever do a redesign of the dragon, I think it would be awesome if you gave our champ Liu Kang one of your world-famous redesigns as well
