Mileena and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamhat
Retreating Into the Storm
Artist's Remarks:
So named because of her brightly colored hat decorations and their inverted counterparts. Was going to be called "Mileena's One Night Stand", but I liked this better. This is Mileena in the 'real world' dressed in her "Sunday best". She's just slipped her heels back on after a date with the luckiest man in town. I wanted the image to be as rough and sloppy as possible without looking bad, so... Here it is.

Yeah! Heh... I noticed that the bed under her looked a tiny bit like teeth and her elbow area looked like eyes/nostrils, either one, so I decided to mirror it to make the complete grin.

But it's not a simple mirroring, right?

The white part Mileena has tarkatan teeth.

No, I joke, badly... Yeah, that has teeth, but those aren't exactly hidden. I added those after I mirrored it to further attach it to Mileena because without the teeth it's just a woman in purple. The mirroring was done to get the hint of a big toothy grin in the center of the image.

I thought it was supposed to "reveal" to us Mileena's savage mindset, metaphorically.

Guess I looked too much into this...

You didn't... That is the reason why the colors are inverted. It's sort of a nightmarish reflection-reality thing.
