While the design in itself is very good, it simply doesn't have much of a "Kintaro" essence to it. Personally I never understood why they made Kintaro a half human/tiger being since I thought the whole Shokan race were supposed to be half human/dragon. The catty face in your design deters from his usual monstrous appeal and makes him look more like a henchman from a '90s kids cartoon than anything else.
Anatomically it's flawless and I actually really like the patterns on his body. His armour is a little too futuristic and not very mortal-kombat-ish. But overall man I'm glad to see you experimenting with a character who really hasn't had much attention in the MK story despite having such a huge fanbase.

I actually dig the tiger concept because it serves as a throwback to what Kintaro was originally supposed to look like. He WAS supposed to be an anthropamorphic tiger. So seeing this and some of the colors that are used it reminds me of his original concept, which, at least to me was so much cooler than just another shokan but with painted stripes. The only reason he was ever a shokan was because making a tiger outfit and then digitizing it to put it into MKII and have him as a playable character was too difficult.
So Midway decided to just make a new Shokan model and add the stripes for flavor. That's why in MKA, you see that, while Kintaro couldn't be magically transformed into a tiger, they at least went as far as they could with the original concept.
I like this concept though, good colors, great pose, and it feels "right". You still need to work on his talons though. 4/5

a skirt, why is kintaro wearing a skirt? for heaven's sake kintaro was a great character and now that you ruined him with a horrible fashion statement, he's no fun anymore... thanks a lot man... either you need to think of better character designs with these mk characters or stop before you ruin more of my favorites...
1.5 / 5 because of the whole skirt thing. why in the world is he wearing a skirt?

First off, take your butt to Charm School, once you're done with that and have learned some manners, go look up and find out what a SKIRT is. That is not a skirt idiot.
10/10, good design.

The only reason why I don't like this, is because of the white armor. A beast such as Kintaro, deserves to be exposed. Almost like a natural animal in the wild, dressed in masculine mk gear like Kintaro already is.

"Is it so important that you win one last argument with him?" "No, it is not, but it is true that I will miss the arguments; they were, finally, all that we had."

Fairly nice concept, and despite what the others here say, I like how you brought him further back to his original, anthro-tiger concept. The armor is alos really cool, fairly tribal, but I agree that there's a bit too much of it for him. The only thing I specifically don't like, though, is the feet; the two-toed "paws" you gave him just look silly, in my opinion. Replace them with either true digitigrade paws or what MKA Kintaro has, and he'd be perfect. 4/5.

I don't remember Kintaro ever looking like an anthro-tiger. Just a goro with stripes.

That was what Kintaro was originally going to be until it was scrapped for what we have today.SynjoDeonecros Wrote:

Glad to help, Fedgita.
On topic: Not bad, but I agree with S.S. on the fact that he doesn't need that much armor. He needs to show more skin, er, fur. 4.75/5
