I really like it, excellent shading and stuff. Tell Kintaro I'm sorry about his eye and if he tells me the bully that did it, I'll beat the guy up for him.

Wow that's amazing! Did you use some sort of special pencil or paper?? I like the "tone" of this drawing... Looks very cool.

The way we can see all the teeth through the skin is a very nice detail and very realistic for a dreary final look... It's as if you based the whole drawing over the skull... That's why it may look skinny as D.I. pointed

There is, actually.
The 2004 in the title is not only a reference to the year the drawing was created it, it's also supposed to imply that this is what Kintaro looks like, today.
The story goes that Kintaro died... well —as you can see— he was hurt, but not quite dead.
I'm sure you all have noticed the eye that is missing... well, that could be considered a battle scar. The rest of his 'unhealthy' look is also because of the massive stress his body has supposedly endured.

Actually, I drew it with a regular ebony pencil.
I added the 'tone' with PhotoShop.
D... don't tell anyone. :p

Impressive. I love the imprint of the teeth on his lips, and the missing eye does make the other one look more intense, however the missing skin below the eye makes the two eyes look uneven. I'm not sure the face isn't tilted to the left a bit (our left), and now that I know under the socket bone shows through, it looks really awesome. What's behind the socket?

Mesmerizing and shaded like baby Jesus. Good job.

Actually, facially, he looks much more like Sagat to me... especially with the missing eye.

I like it. The way you've made the detail and wrinkles and stuff look good and the shading is really well done.
Reminds me a lot of your Quan Chi head picture that you'd made a while back. smile

Ah, you noticed.
I used the same technique, going for a similar style, indeed.
Great job. I like the rinkles, he really looks old. The missing eye idea is pretty cool. If you make an updated version of the drawing, you should add a bandage covering the eye socket and maybe a few scars, for example, a scar in the lips. I like the cheek bones, makes him look older.
