Oh it is SO great to take a shot at Zentile right now. He puts his credibility at stake, and people start bashing him for being harsh. Do you expect him to be all like "Oh that was great, of course it was funny! Who cares about the order of the bubbles, the white outline, the gargantuan size, and the lack of any humour whatsoever! Anyway, Zentile. It is a good attempt, I am really diggin the soul thinking it is free... only to be captured by Karnak. Karnak... Ermac? Was it intential? If not, then next time, you should probably spend a little more time, making him unique and less like someone already featured. The background with the trees is great, the different colours really gives it a vibe. The fog and the rain as superb, but the tower, im assuming it is the tower, in the background doesn't look all that good, not distinctive enough. All in all, I like this, it is a good attempt. 4/5.

Really, I am so pissed that in the end the guy ended up looking so much like Ermac. I was really proud of the bloody effect on his clothes.
Anyway, this was just a one hour thing anyway. I just felt like making a little fake, for old time's sake. The idea itself isn't really any good, IMO, because I'm not very imaginative when it comes to fakes. I feel like making more, but I don't really have any ideas. Especially on character designs, as you can see.

By the way, Tim's MK came up with the name for the guy.

I LOVE this picture! Everything looks good put together, and I love all the little bits and pieces. The way the soul of Liu Kang looks is awesome, all the green stuff around him was put in there very well. Karnak does look like Ermac, but that's okay. I like the whole blood on the costume explnation, because I wouldn't have known. Zentile, this is a great picture. The first poster should have kept his mouth shut, as I should have in the past. I was still a newb at the time, so that explains my actions. Anyway, this picture is one of my favorites, and I would like to see more fan arts from you Zentile. 5/5

This is a good fake. It has nice rain and soul capture effects. But there is too much fog or clouds, you cant really see the castle in the background. 4/5
Here's a new fake idea called "Smoke's ascension": It shows him shadowed (lowered opacity) as half ninja/robot rising into the heavens to become the smoke elemental of MKD. The clouds open up and a brilliant light pours through, you can faintly hear an elder god speak to him. (represented by small, dimmed text)

That sounds like a nice idea, but I want to do is something like a fatality, a new character, a new move or in-game situation, or my favourite type, fake backrounds.

Right, background. It looks really mysterious which is good, but as you said, the rain effect and clouds take away from viewing the really cool costume that you say you had, which is a shame, but nothing can be done about it.

My only real gripe about the pic is that, in my opinion, the glowing is a bit much, a bit too.......glowing, heh .
I would've preferred something not as bright maybe even more transparent.

However, I'd place this one along with your others such as the Lin Kuei HQ with Mortar and some of the other better ones you did .

It's alright, but like many have said, Karnak looks like Ermac. Maybe you should draw a new sketch of Karnak and change his blood-ninja outfit into something more fitting; it's made of blood, right? Well, maybe you should add more to it, like exposed muscles, organs, or skeletal parts.
