You should have 'increased the color depth' so that Goro and Reptile don't look like a screenshot from a Genesis.

yeah i know. this pic was more of an experiment than an actual fake, so i know it sux.

It is reptile surrendering to goro...my own idea. btw it was originaly better colour than this...but when i transferred it to JPG it screwed up. Same with the comic fake (much better than this one) that im about to send in. It looks fine on the bitmap image...but becomes smaller when transferred to JPG.

When you save the pic as a JPG you get a menu that asks for the quality level Low, Med, high.

So a JPG can come out just as sharp as the original.

At least that's what happens in Photoshop.

Not sure, but you might try experimenting with your program to see if you can get a better quality pic.

Man you really gotta try again, I think you said this was your first. This is just really rough. To small, the background has no connection with the foreground characters, the perspective is all screwed up. The edit on reptile is not too bad. I see him on his knees, is that right? The red I guess is blood so I don't get that either. Needs shadows and just a little more attension to detail.

As for the conversion problems I suspect your using Paint or something similar. If your getting bad results from it, Office comes with a Photo editing program that converts pretty well. Theres always PS or PSP but if you can't get those download.com has a slew of free converters and image editors.
