They're fine but I thought ghosts would be gray. Inverting Scorpion is a good idea, but then you should make him gray.

Well I don't have any kind of photoshop program or anything. All I got is Paint.

I give them all 4/5, except the jumping one 3.5 as it doesnt really look like he is jumping.

Arctics sprite looks more ghostly with the tail and all, but they are all pretty good. Well done!

Sorry dude, but it sucks...you could have at least make the blue a better colour than...well, blue.

The white background doesn't help either.
Anyone can invert the colors, it doesn't take any skill at all.

In that case, I take back my 4/5's. Me, being that I am absolutely clueless with these types of things, thought this actually took effort, not just 1 minutes worth of pressing the "invert colour" button. Sorry, but this only deserves about a 1/10. Sorry

A White and Gray gradient map i think would be very good to make a sprite a wee more ghostly.

Get one,There are some free ones(GIMP) and free trials(Photoshop) out there...ITS THE INTERNET!!!Besides, its still just some inverted sprites, not ghostly whatsoever.

I don't think he has his older MS Paint fakes here, but there is a hell of a lot you can do with that program if you're willing to actually put time into it and use it instead of just bitching about it.

I'm not usually one to diminish skills based on having simply Paint or not (after all, that's all I had until recently obtaining The GIMP), but seriously... it takes all of holding CTRL and pressing I to do what you did.

Certainly a little bit more inventive than pasting a few sprites and hitting 'invert.'
Might've been nice to see even the inverted sprites on a more conventional sprite background colour. A neon pink or green. Just to see them as individual sprites, rather than being assaulted by a lot of white.

Conceptually it's an interesting enough idea, but I'm really more of a fan of the kind of conventional spirits being used in the current game series. Transparency with a colour hue just strikes me as a more interesting way of separating a spirit character from the solid characters.
Particularly for 'hero characters' who deserve some kind of identifying features.

Something like Arctic's take on the idea works for me for more generic spirits. Although, for consistency's sake, even they would probably benefit from a hue/transparency treatment.

Poor effort, but obviously there's a lot more that can be done with Paint. Certainly more than a one-click job, and hopefully this thread will spur Paint users to explore those possibilities.

It must've taken you well over 25 seconds to paste some sprites and then inverting them.
