Story (Idea from Baraka407):

Armageddon has passed. The sweeping tide of destruction and war nearly tore the Earth asunder. As we begin to crawl out from beneath our fallen cities, a widespread realization begins to take hold. This is not the last battle between good and evil. Indeed, this ending is only the beginning.
A new power is rising in the depths of Hell. The river of fire has dried away, allowing the wretched souls to recede into nothingness. But the way of things suggests that nothing is truly gone, lest something new be created. He was once a deity of dust and bone, a power that pulled magma from the scorched bowels of emptiness. For too long, he has lingered in the shadows, balancing the scales between this world and the next. For too long, he has remained hidden among the dead.
The armies that he has already begun amassing will be swift and relentless in pursuit of their ultimate ambition: The realm of Heaven must fall. Only then may they reclaim what they lost so long ago. I now believe the words of the ancient prophecy: Death has been made flesh once more, and the chosen battleground shall be Earth. Fellow chosen ones, there is no time to lose. We must prepare quickly, if we are to have any hope of surviving the coming storm."

Game Options:

Kombat

Traditional MK fighting. Choose a fighter, unlock there ending by fighting through a series of battles to face three sub-bosses and the ultimate boss. Your characters alignment will alter the three sub-bosses and the ultimate boss. Mini games include Test Your Might and Test Your Sight, which can be adjusted to your liking in the Options menu.

Evil

Sub-boss #1= Fujin

Sub-boss #2= Raiden

Sub-boss #3= Rajinashee

Ultimate boss= One Elder God

Righteousness (the new good)

Versus Mode

Standard MK vs. mode. Choose any fighter from the Mortal Kombat 8 A New Evil's cast to play against an enemy or a friend. Mini games include Test Your Might and Test Your Sight, which once again can be adjusted to your liking in the Options menu.

Practice

Same as the former practice modes, except you can have the computer stand or fight.

Survival Mode

Choose a fighter, Righteousness or Evil, and face 22 fighters (entire cast), including two bonus characters. Each level gets more intense. If you defeat Survival Mode, you will unlock all the MK games that have preceded MKA, which can be accessed in Kontent.

Puzzle Kombat is back from MKD.

Konquest

All new-revamped Konquest mode. Features new four way fighting game play schematics. Similar schematics to Shaolin Monks, but with revamped graphics. Take any selectable character in the Kombat Arcade and play them through Konquest to go in depth on their story to reveal the entire plot. Explore the realms and interact with many warriors and inhabitants for unlimited adventure with your created kombatant. Unlock characters for Versus, Kombat Arcade, Puzzle Kombat, Chess Kombat, Survival Mode, and Realm Wars.

Realm Wars

A simple RTS game. Choose a realm of your choice, assemble an army and train them to become elite warriors. Choose your choice of general try to konquer other realms or defend your or other realms. Each realm has five command posts/territories of interest and one main base/outpost on the realm map in which the realm you are in. The more command posts under your command and the more enemy reinforcements that are captured or diminished, the greater chance of winning. To have total victory, you will need to capture the general, kill him or her, or make them surrender along with all five command posts under your command and the enemy stronghold under attack. Once battle does begin, it will be a third person view. The game play is much like Shaolin Monks but with unlimited adventure and kombat with four way fighting. After you win your first battle, you get the chance to upgrade weapons, skills, tactics, etc with your exp. It is possible to switch your foot warrior status or general status to an MK warrior from your realm, if you have enough exp (100 exp) during the battle. If you choose to have an MK warrior, you will have lieutenant rank. Beating the game with each alignment will result in earning additional secret Kontent.

Tag Kombat

Two on two kombat in a specially designed ring MK style. Make a team of two or three, and fight another team of two or three. Tag your partner(s) in to fight in the One on One Mode while the other one or two stand aside the apron, or go in a No Tag Format style of game play, in which your team of two or three are in the ring fighting another team of two or three at once. Or go Handicap Kombat, in which two or three are against one kombatant. Make a team of two or three and go up against one opponent, or go solo against a team of two or three.

Kreate a Fighter

Standard KAF from MKA, except with new races and occupations. Also, features custom move sets and combos with create a fighting style for your character (optional). Also, create a bio and ending as well, while featuring create a weapon (create a weapon is optional).

The Katacomb

All new Katacomb replaces the Krpyt and Vault with the same use and features. Cannot unlock characters here no more, however.

Options

Standard options menu, adjust brightness, sound, blood level, etc. Create your profile here and manage it as well, seeing how many battles won/lost, time played, etc.

Characters:

Emperor DeSade

DeSade was once a deity of dust and bone, a power that pulled magma from the scorched bowels of emptiness. For too long, he has lingered in the shadows, balancing the scales between this world and the next. For too long, he has remained hidden among the dead. The armies that he has already begun amassing will be swift and relentless in pursuit of their ultimate ambition: The realm of Heaven must fall. He is Lucifer's subordinate and son, and is doing what Lucifer cannot on Earth, until the perfect time. He is the Emperor of the Netherrealm along side Lucifer. The words of the ancient DeSade prophecy: Death has been made flesh once more, and the chosen battleground shall be Earth.

Scorpion

When DeSade invades Earth, Scorpion becomes drained, and causes him to become reincarnated for a second time. This causes the furies to become unbalanced. In a more powerful, dangerous form, Scorpion is a marked man among many. He destroys Quan-Chi with his new power and is now raiding Earth on no side. When Scorpion is confronted by DeSade he was made an offer he could not refuse, a second chance at life, and DeSade has to power to do so. He is now eager to help DeSade. So to show his gratitude he promised to defend DeSade as his personal assassin. Unaware of the unbalancing of the furies and DeSade`s plan to eliminate him before his plans are crushed, Scorpion finds that he has become a marked man. He is marked by Death himself. Hell Retro, a spectre warrior for DeSade, is in hot pursuit of him and now Scorpion debates the integrity of DeSade. Scorpion must choose his own Destiny, a life of fleeing or a chance to make right what was been made wrong.

Hell Retro

When Scorpion is drained by DeSade's invasion, Scorpion becomes reincarnated for a second time. This caused the furies to become unbalanced. Scorpion is now more dangerous than ever, and with this new power, he destroyed Quan-Chi. DeSade then realizes that Scorpion could be a huge threat to him, even though he is not on the side of Righteousness. So he erects a 50, 000 year old evil spectre. He is the God of Tormented Souls, the ultimate hellish ninja, Hell Retro. His notorious reputation for using the most painful and hellish fighting tactics was known by all ninjas realm wide. Hell Retro's task is to drain Scorpion's immortality and kill him. Then with him dead, the God of Tormented Souls, then can add Scorpion's soul to serve him with the many others, and leave his body to burn in the fires of the Netherrealm.

Blaze

Whereas blood runs through the human veins, sulfur runs through his veins. Blaze makes an unexpected survival. After DeSade began his invasion, Blaze discovers that there are other fire elementals like him. He also discovers that he was once a leader of an elite clan called Emberlions before his encounter with holy men, which had an effect on his memory. He also discovers Delia created him, along with many other of his men to become the leader of his elite clan called the Emberlions. Being confused and remembering little before Armageddon, Blaze tried to find his purpose. When he caught word that Emperor DeSade has invaded Earth, it jogged his memory. The deity made him remember what his past purposes were. When he caught word that Emperor DeSade was out to exterminate his small but powerful race of people he south the help of the other realms. He now has future purposes as well.

Sarok
When DeSade hears of Blaze's plan to bring an uprising against him, he gets a rival clan of ice people to take arms against Blaze's. He recruits Sarok the leader of the Arcticans to attack the Emberlions and destroy them before it is too late. In the midst of the battle, Sarok is bestowed by the power and looks of Sub-Zero. Now Sarok is torn between the survival of her people and the passion in her heart. She is out to prove there is heat and compassion within the heart of Arcticans.

Sub-Zero

After surviving Armageddon, Sub-Zero plans to help stop the coming storm. Sub-Zero is recruited by Blaze to aid him in the battle against a clan of ice people known as the Arcticans after he realizes that DeSade is behind all of it. When Sub-Zero learns of Scorpion's second reincarnation, he takes the opportunity to confront his brother's murderer as well. He takes on the role of an assassin, but for the good of mankind. He enters into the battle not only to help Blaze, but also to find Scorpion: the murderer of his brother, Frost, and his Lin Kuei clan.

Shao Kahn

With Armageddon over, and his empire crushed, DeSade has overthrown Shao Kahn in the process of his invasion. Shao Kahn then realizes that the invasion of DeSade behind Lucifer is his chance to conquer Earth in its weakened state. Shao Kahn pleas for his life and a chance to serve DeSade as his apprentice Emperor. DeSade agrees, for Kahn can be of great help to him. Now, Kahn with his men that have survived along with his survived allies, he hopes to rule along side DeSade as a two-ruler empire under the ultimate rule of Lucifer. DeSade and Kahn call their allegiance, the Dark Alliance, an alliance of DeSade's men along with Kahn's survived allies and men. Kahn has indeed sold his soul to the Devil himself, Lucifer.

Shang Tsung

Shang barely survives Armageddon. When he hears that Shao Kahn's empire has been destroyed, he ventures back to finish him for good, after Shao Kahn survived Shang Tsung and Quan-Chi`s attack before Armageddon. However, when Shang goes to finish the job, he sees that Kahn has made a new alliance with the new threat he heard very little about. So Shang flees, only for Kahn to find him. Kahn offers him a chance to join him once again, but surprisingly, Shang refuses, for Kahn has always been one-step ahead of him. So Shang attacks Kahn, however DeSade arrives. DeSade and Shang fight, but Shang is no match for DeSade and Shang flees. Now Shang Tsung is a wildcard for both alignments.

Soul Reavor
When Shao Kahn is left by Shang Tsung after Shang's attempt to rebel against DeSade and Kahn, Kahn sends his new appointed sorcerer Soul Reavor out to kill him. Soul Reavor who was the student of Shang is more than happy to oblige his master. Soul Reavor knows the only way for him to become the most powerful of sorcerers is to take the soul of the very person who trained him, Shang himself. Many have learned not to be deceived by his feeble looks, for he has the gift of morph. He also possesses the ability to become transparent.

D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R.
When the Lin Kuei clan learns that all human forms of ninja are unreliable, they turned to robotics. After the making of the first three cyber ninjas, they make one drastic improvement. They realized that they must combine all the elements into one cyber ninja, with State of the Art ninja technology. They made D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. stands for Dead from the Inside Status As Savage Top Elite Rogue. D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. is a cyber ninja that combines not only water, fire, ice but now earth, wind, light, and darkness, let alone the skills of all three cyber ninjas put together. They kept this lethal warrior in hiding until Armageddon, and then that is when he would be released for ultimate destruction. DeSade then learns of this lethal warrior that fueled Armageddon, captures him, and reprograms him as his servant. He is sent to kill all the warriors of Righteousness for his final testing and effectiveness in battle.

Juggernaut

When the entire Shokan race becomes extinct, DeSade makes one ultimate Shokan. He travels into the past and receives the genes of Goro, Kintaro, and Sheeva. Then, DeSade combines the genes of Goro, Kintaro, and Sheeva with his sorcery. In turn, he makes a six arm; two headed, male Shokan with Netherrealm influenced powers. More agile and powerful than his predecessors, Juggernaut vows to serve his master well. He is sent by DeSade to kill Liu Kang and Kung Lao, the last skilled Shaolin Monks that pose the greatest threat to DeSade`s scheme. With Liu Kang and Kung Lao out of the picture, DeSade's mission will be inevitable. The most deadly enraged Shokan will be a final test for the two Shaolin Monks, but a brutal, arduous challenge for the rest of the warriors of Righteousness, if Liu Kang and Kung Lao fall.

Rajinashee

The God of Balance, Rajinashee takes up his new role as protector of the remaining realms. Outworld, Netherrealm, Earth, and Edenia are the only four left. Rajinashee himself destroyed Chaosrealm, because Chaosrealm was one of the causes of Armageddon. He destroyed the Chaosrealm before DeSade could promise a lifetime of Chaos at his side, thus an enemy of Righteousness. Orderrealm was destroyed during Armageddon by Chaosrealm. He is the one that kept DeSade from balancing the scales from this world and the next to total destruction. However, DeSade was able to arise, after the effects Armageddon had on Earth. Where before, he was just an avatar from the heavens that kept balance. But, since Armageddon weakened existence, he could not stop DeSade, for he and Lucifer gained power from Armageddon. Now the avatar he once was is now an immortal balance being. The prophecy has been fulfilled, Rajinashee, The God of Balance, arises after Armageddon to ensure balance after that day of reckoning, and to protect existence from the coming storm.

Raiden

The God of Thunder has been reborn in the Heavens as Light Raiden once again, after Armageddon transpired. Dark Raiden is no more, and he realizes that the fate of Earth and the other realms, not only lies within the gods, but most of all the mortal spirit of humans. Dark Raiden was Lucifer's taint on Raiden that was devised to destroy all mortal humans on Earth, thus Lucifer could invade Earth for his own, and Raiden would be Dark God of Thunder as a god servant of Lucifer. However, The Elder Gods finally took control and gave Raiden a rebirth in the Heavens, before it was too late. Now The Elder Gods give him and Fujin the status as protectors of Earth. They both must assist Rajinashee in the coming storm.

Fujin

The God of Wind has been given the status as protector of Earth along side Raiden once again. Fujin has been in the Heavens watching the events that unfold. As soon as Armageddon began, Fujin fought for Righteousness and for the Elder Gods. However, Fujin was able to survive Armageddon. Now, with existence in its weakened state, DeSade has chosen Earth to be the battleground for his scheme. He now prepares for the final battle, the coming storm, between Righteousness and the Evil of Lucifer's subordinate DeSade and his allies.

Noob Saibot

Noob Saibot survives Armageddon. Ever since he was killed by Scorpion in the Shaolin Tournament as the original Sub-Zero, and was reborn as Noob Saibot in the Netherrealm, he has planned a lifelong scheme of turmoil. His plan was to have Smoke and himself kill Shinnok during Armageddon, as his first act of going from Prince of the Netherrealm to King of the Netherrealm. Then, with Smoke's nanotechnology, he created an army of cyborg demons to fight along side The Brotherhood of Shadow. Then, with Shinnok out of the picture, Noob Saibot destroyed Smoke at the climax of Armageddon. Noob Saibot had what he needed for Lucifer to rise as the Supreme Ruler of the Netherrealm once more. Lucifer rose as Supreme Ruler, and Noob Saibot became Prince of the Netherrealm. It turned out to be that the spawn from hell, the wraith, Noob Saibot was Emperor DeSade's son. DeSade was the one who gave the deceased original Sub-Zero a rebirth as Noob Saibot. Now, Lucifer has his subordinate, his son Emperor DeSade. And DeSade has his subordinate, the Prince of the Netherrealm, his son Noob Saibot. Now, The Brotherhood of Shadow and the cyborg demons have been added to Lucifer's Netherrealm Army. With Lucifer the Supreme Ruler of Hell, and DeSade as Emperor of Netherrealm at the side of Lucifer, The Netherrealm Army will be lead into battle by DeSade himself. Noob Saibot now swears to serve the Supreme Ruler of Hell, Lucifer, and DeSade, his master and father for their ultimate ambition, and for eternity.

Liu Kang

When the Elder Gods realize that Scorpion has become inadequate for their status as their champion, they turn to one man. They turn to the champion of Mortal Kombat, the savior of Earthrealm, the survivor of Armageddon, Liu Kang. The Elder Gods gave Liu Kang a rebirth back to his normal self, after his spirit suffered from torment of Shang Tsung, and after his body was used as a tool. Liu Kang's new purpose as The Champion of The Elder Gods is to assist the warriors of Righteousness in the coming storm. But, most of all, Liu Kang must challenge himself, and if he is to confront and defeat DeSade and his allies, he must remember one thing: that he is the Champion of Mortal Kombat and the Champion of The Elder Gods. Liu Kang is now the ultimate warrior, and the only hope of defeating DeSade and his allies in this final battle.

Kung Lao

Kung Lao survives Armageddon along side his Shaolin brother, Liu Kang. However, when Liu Kang is reborn and becomes Champion of The Elder Gods, Kung Lao has one desire: to assist him at his side in the coming storm. The Elder Gods then granted Kung Lao the status of their Sub-Champion after they saw his eagerness to assist and fight along side his Shaolin brother. Now, the two Shaolin brothers, the two Champions of the Elder Gods, are the ultimate warriors and the ultimate hope of stopping DeSade and his allies along with Lucifer's plot. Kung Lao fought along side Liu Kang before, and now he continues to live up to the Shaolin Order, by assisting both his brother and the warriors of Righteousness in this final battle.

Chameleon

During the climax of Armageddon, Chameleon emerged from the shadows. In turn, Chameleon survived Armageddon. He was Shao Kahn's most deadliest warrior. But, when Kahn joined DeSade out of chance and desperation after his overthrow, he told DeSade of his deadly minion of a conquered realm known as Zaterra. He was the last secret Saurian along with his sister, after Reptile's death. Now, DeSade promises Chameleon that his race and his realm will be in safekeeping under his rule as Emperor of Zaterra. Chameleon agrees, and becomes Prince of Zaterra as well as Kahn's servant under the wing of DeSade. Now, DeSade gains another ally, a deadly ally in DeSade's scheme of Lucifer's plot.

Khameleon

The sister of Chameleon, Khameleon and her brother are the last two of the Saurian race and the only inhabitants of Zaterra. They were King and Queen of Zaterra. Khameleon fought along side her brother during Armageddon for their survival. In turn, they survived. It was also said that Khameleon was the most deadliest female assassins for Kahn. But, when Kahn told DeSade of Chameleon, her brother, he also told DeSade of Chameleon's sister. Once again, DeSade makes the same promise to Khameleon as he did to her brother. Khameleon agrees, and becomes Princess of Zaterra, as well as Kahn's second servant, under the wing of DeSade. DeSade now has Zaterra, and the last two of the Saurian race as allies. Both she and Chameleon will be deadly allies in DeSade's scheme of Lucifer's plot.

Kitana

When Kitana survives Armageddon, she hears that Liu Kang has been reborn to his normal self. She rushes to the Shaolin Temples, and in turn marries Liu Kang. However, when she caught word that a new evil is arising and has already taken her home realm Edenia by storm, she is devastated. Now, she seeks the help of Liu Kang, the Champion of The Elder Gods, and Kung Lao, the Sub-Champion of The Elder Gods, to help defeat DeSade, the new conqueror of her realm, as well as his allies. Her only intentions are to assist the warriors of Righteousness, to win her home realm back in a battle on Earth, and above all: to end DeSade's evil reign under Lucifer's ultimate plot.
