But 1 thing I misunderstand... why there are MK2 sprites in a new MK game?

maybe becuase there are basically no MKD sprites and barely any MKDA sprites!

You got MKII Sprites, MK:DA Lifebars, and an MK:D background. A bit disorganize don't you think? Keep that in mind when you're doing fakes.
