Fake: Bridge of Netherrealm
Artist's Remarks: | |
A netherrealm battle between Quan Chi and an Oni, on a high cliff above lava streams and sulphuric clouds, and dragons flying on the sky. I have used this Oni sprite before... but I worked on it, getting rid of the blurry parts and color splotches, and made his flesh peel off his bone on his leg, which i'm quite proud of! hahaha hope u like it!!!! and leave a lot of criticism please!

That`s the real bridge of the Nertherrealm!I gave it 8/10.It needed some more color content the quan chi.Now the oni had the mask of drahmin. You could`ve just add him without it on.But hey it`s your creature.i just wanted to see more color then green for quan chi.Now if that was oen of his special moves then that`s okay, but since it`s not you should`ve add in his mk4 stance to it,then mk3s kano stance. Now the oni`s roundhouse kick should`ve had more critique to it.Now the dragon flies should`ve been larger but not to huge.8/10 good try keep it up!

I like how the bg has that old school feel. It kinda looks like a painting/mural. I also love the sprite edits, they also have that old school feel, and fit perfectly with the bg. lol, I almost thought that was Vega/Balrog.
The glow, and reflections are too high a quality to fit with the rest of the piece.
I still like it though.

I wish I could see the non JPG format.
Well, the sprites are okay. Not to diss paint, but it looks like that's the only tool you had available and you weren't really able to edit them in much depth. For example, Quan Chi's cloth looks like an extended version of the MK1 ninja's cloth and a little bit of a design on the bottom.
The idea of falling skulls was cool. I like the background a lot especially how there's a river of lava leading up to the mountains. This actually makes it look like you're ontop of an actual bridge. Nice job.
