hey, here is a background i built i don't have much time to add any characters to it, (also not many ideas at the moment) so if someone wants to use this BG they can, but must give me credit of course!

I fucking love this stage. The colors go together beautifuly. The rain looks outstanding and I am glad that you didn't use that stupid Moon with the MK Logo in it.
I would have blurred the edges of the sand so it merges with the sky a little better. Other than that it's awesome.
4/5

Yeah, I agree, you put this together extremely well. The colors fit well together, and nothing seems 'forced' in really. The pillars are a good addition here, they give the stage a nice 'aged' look, like it is a long standing structure. But something just looks add at how the pillars are placed. To me, it just looks as if there wouldn't be enough room on that ledge for the pillars to be standing, without colliding with the sub-wall behind them. It could be just me though. The outside pillars look perfectly placed though. I would have liked to see some variation between the ceiling and the floor, I would have rather seen a more dark, dingy type of stone than the clean and smooth looking one that's there now. Still, all the props are set up very nicely, I like how you always keep with one theme when you are creating backgrounds.
About the effects, the rain looks pretty good. The moon is nice as well, but I think a bright moon combined with the rain is a bit unrealistic. Its still better than that dragon moon though. Sky and mountains are nice looking, they fit the foreground I think. By the way, have you given this background a name? Personally, this reminds me a lot of a mausoleum, so that's probably what I'd call this. Anyhow, nice work, I like this.

wow! amazing dude! 5/5 points for this awesome background??
I do think it's very MK.
And well, one crater here, one there on the moon would have made it look a bit more realistic, but that's the only little detail. The rest is wonderful. I love the floor, the columns. The Rain effect is great! As I said 5/5 for you COngrats!!

excellent, mk worthy, 5 dragons from me
I dont get it.
How does it make sense to take pieces from like 3 to 4 different MK stages and make a "new" stage out of them. I see this so many times- not just this one. But at least as far as the work quality goes - its better then others I've seen posted, and at least the sky with rain falling is original for the most part. ANYWAY. I would like to see somone make a 2d original MK stage for once. (and WITH NO STUPID DOOM or other low res "export over" textures)
Maybe I'll do that this weekend :)

It's really not that bad.
I like everything besides the moon and the floor.
The moon just looks like a light yellow spot,
a little too big, and not shaded or feathered enough.
I gave you 5 but I think it only deserves 3.
