Inked Scorpion, this time with some shading... to give it a bit more character and volume... the shading is very simplistic and basic, I wasn't going for anything super-accurrate. just wanted to, again, give it a bit more depth. Fell free to C&C. I'd love for some people who specialize in coloring to improve on it, I can send anyone a basic, no color version of this drawing.

It looks good. I like how you added shading to give it depth. It's definitely an improvement over your initial coloring job, and is a good compromise between that and the original sketch. Still, because of the lack of texture, particularly on the spear, I can't shake the feeling that it's actually a step down from the sketch, even if it is so much cleaner. Maybe it's just the fact that hatching seems to take more skill and effort that digital shading.
I still think you should change the color of the fire on his skull. The pale whitish yellow you colored it just doesn't fit for fire.
