The effects are cool, but a bit confusing

i like the effects you put on it, the sprite cut outs are pretty good too. It is a little confusing though im not quite sure what is going on, or what this is for, it looks pretty cool tho, lol.

Anyhow, yeah, the effects are nice. Goes well with the whole idea of the thing.

Yeah, I think its designed to be a wallpaper, or perhaps a signature if it were resized. Anyhow, the effects are pretty nice I guess. I like how it all comes from the center, where Liu Kang's and Shang Tsung's fireballs are meeting. The distant background is pretty nice, makes a pleasant contrast I believe. The text on the side and the bottom is cool too, its not too complex, which is nice because it lets you focus on the main part of this. Sometimes texts can be used, and draw attention away from the actual art, but the way you have done this is nice.

I do think the Kitana/Reptile white silhouettes are really neccesary though. And I don't particularly like how Reptile's tail looks here. But its still nice overall, looks pretty cool.

To be honest, even though now that people have now cleared that it's supposed to be Shang and Liu, for me this pic doesn't seem to have any real direction. I mean, it's nice for effects, nice little cut out guys, but it has no real form. It just doesn't seem to be anything. More detail on the "good" side and the "evil" side would help clear things up. Maybe you just need something to represent it being an eternal battle. And I also don't understand what purpose the fighters at the bottom serve?

Actually it's only Shang and Liu.

That's the point with abstract art. It isn't supposed to have a from.

Hmm.. actually I was very close to writing this down as abstract in my first critique. This being just the second abstract art piece submitted people probably aren't used to it. But with the way everything seems to 'come from the center' as I said, I was thinking this is what this was in fact. Though, of course, this would still make a lovely wallpaper or possible signature.

Now that I look again at the two bottom fighters, I can clearly see its Liu and Shang again. Knowing this, it fits alot for in the picture I think, and makes me like this more knowing it. Thanks for clearing that up a bit, again good job.

Fair enough, but if that's the case, you could perhaps make it a little more abstract. As it stands it seems like a pretty light show, to be honest. I'd keep working it though, it's a good start for something that could be great.
