I totally dig that Ermac took out Kenshi. Probably the most satisfying victory throughout the tournament. Even with Ermac's least popular appearance to date in MKX he still managed to take out the most popular post-trilogy character to date. Simultaneously weird and impressive.

I voted for Fujin, though Johnny Cage seems to be running away with it already!

Even if your biggest wish in life is to have Fujin in a game and show the developers that you credibly want to see him and aren't just a completely zealot: A Johnny Cage win here helps.

You can even look at the canon and abilities of the characters! Fujin is a god, but Johnny Cage is descended from warriors who were bred to beat gods! He beat Shinnok!

I personally hate Cage and have since MK1. He's a douchebag. I've never found douchebags entertaining. His bragging, bravado, and arrogance are so off putting I avoid him when at all possible. I don't even use the cheap-shot artist as my practice dummy. He's an insufferable narcissist who would have sex with himself if he could. It also takes a special kind of asshole to tattoo their own name on themselves. Basically confirms to me he's so stupid he'd forget it if it weren't written down.

Comic relief is supposed to be funny. I've never laughed at anything he's said or done. He's the bad pun you groan at.

Johnny Cage wears trucker hats cocked slightly to the side and Axe body spray. He drinks Mt. Dew, pops the collar on his pink polo, and wears sunglasses indoors. He spends $500 a month on hair product. He's your quintessential dude-bro.

He's a bigger troll that Quan Chi and outside of one game, has been little more than fodder or an Earthrealm minion. He's been killed off and brought back what, like two times already? Super important guy there.

It's also true though that Fujin is mostly untapped potential at this point. I'm most interested in seeing what they could come up with in terms of special moves and fatalities as they relate to wind. The story is so muddled and weak at this point I really don't care about his role. Having said that, I've seen what they can do with Cage and I'm not impressed.

The guy who threw a hissy fit over freedom to have opinions is shitting on someone for having an opinion. Go figure.

Fujin doesn't really have any "untapped potential" left. It's been nineteen years and Boon/NRS clearly isn't interested at this point in time in doing anything with him. They put Tremor in the game as DLC instead of him, for Pete's sake. He's always going to be Raiden Lite with zero charisma, and even the comic made him look incompetent.
I completely understand how frustrating it is for this to be a virtual ninja lovefest every year, but at least throw your weight behind a non-ninja character who's actually CONTRIBUTED to the series.

On the flip side, I agree that Cage's schtick has gotten old, but whom to pick in this round is no issue whatsoever.

Would you guys agree that the best arc Johnny Cage ever had was in MK Trilogy when he was dead and the good guys winning the war would require him to leave the human world and his spirit to go into the afterlife?
Knowing him as a bit of a douche, there was this question whether Johnny will help his former allies or not, just as his bio suggested. He probably even had a close call, but eventually his good nature made him side give Liu and the give the gang an edge, Johnny accepting his death (kind of like in oposition with Scorpion)
Yeah, only to be brought back after Shinnok invaded the Heavens in MK4 or after the retkon of his death, depending on which explanation you prefer.
But it all went downhill from there, onky jokes, jokes, jokes....

I liked his Armageddon bio as it was hinting at growth for the character, but then the reboot happened. MKX ended up giving him plenty of character development though.
