Fujin. Might just be my obsession and fascination with tornadoes but I've always had a special place for this guy and liked him every time he's shown up. MKX might just be his best design yet, loved it.
Jax is a little different for me. He's a classic character, sure, but there are only two times I can say where I've really appreciated his being used and liked what they did with him; his first appearance and MKX. MK4 and Deadly Alliance did him absolutely no favors for me, and that horrendous alt from DA has to be one of the worst alt's in MK history.
So for me this round it's Fujin.

That's pretty similar to how I feel about Jax. I enjoyed him a lot in MKII, but he started to decline after that for me. Just atrocious and annoying in DA. Because of that, I don't really give him much of a run, but I actually do enjoy Jax more than usual in MKX. Hours revenant attire is good times.
Speaking of, back to the main subject, Jax has my vote here. Never cared about Fujin very much, and I didn't really get the hype that came out of nowhere last year. To me, he was always Kung Lao V2.

Fujin gets my vote. I'm tired of people calling him overrated. As for this round, Fujin would just rip off Jax's arms with his wind powers, much like how Ermac ripped off his arms with his telekinesis in MK9's story mode.

Never forget.
Also just wanted to say never had love for Jax's metal arms either as weird as that sounds. I liked the sorta Every Man approach they had going for him in MK2 where he was sorta like the black John McClane; a guy who seemed down and out given who and what he was surrounded by and thus the likely loser in a match-up scenario but comes out swinging and kicks a lot of ass in the end. The arms just always felt a little like a cheat, like he wasn't good enough but eh, it is what it is. It's a part of him now.

I voted for Shang and tied the votes 50/50. Maybe next time.

OK, they might be annoying to you, and you're entitled to that opinion, but you have to admit it's kinda hard to tell a story about invasions of Earthrealm without regular humans being involved. Besides, it's a bit much when every character is a hellspawn or sorcerer or god or something.

I call that one "Mid-Life Crisis Jax", because he looks like a 40-year-old trying to re-live his 20's.

Jax all the way.
Sorry to the one-game-wonder Fujin, but Jax is too bad ass. Of course Fujin will win with his "he should've been in MKX" following (which I whole heartedly agree with), but Jax was one of my favorites, gameplay and personality wise, in MKX. The perfect answer to Johnny Cage, practically an anti-Cage, who was my hands-down favorite of MKX.

Round 3 koncludes! Johnny Cage was an unlikely champion as a vain Hollywood martial arts movie star. When Outworld staged their invasion, he showed his true colors, standing tall as a master fighter descended from a warrior race. His lineage came in handy again when going toe-to-toe with the fallen elder god Shinnok! Raiden has stood watch over warriors like Cage for centuries. As Earthrealm's sworn protector, he fought to redeem past mistakes by defending the world from the corrupting influence of the Netherrealm and Shinnok himself. Has this corruption infested the thundergod? Will Johnny Cage be forced to fight one of his own? Choose their destiny!... FIGHT!

Ok, I'll admit, you're also right. You can't have a game without a few Earthrealmers. But I was referring to which characters are best and these are the ones that are not from Earthrealm.
This Supreme Champion vote has become very predictable. In the final 8 we pretty much have the same as last year: Sub-Zero, Noob, Smoke, Mileena, Fujin, Kenshi, one of Raiden or J Cage. The only difference is that Ermac got here instead of Kitana, only because Kitana had to face Mileena a little earlier and lost. But I expect Ermac to go out fast.
Last year was more fun cause two 3D characters battled their way to the final (Fujin and Kenshi) and nobody believed that was possible. It was great, fresh and it showed the love players have for 3D characters. I was hoping for something similar this year, but with different characters.
Sub-Zero and Mileena beat Noob Saibot and Smoke last year, but this year it will be close. Though last year Fujin was everyone's favourite, this year I've seen a new category of voters: the Fujin haters. So no Fujin wnning this year. Instead, Kenshi has this in a bag. Considering the opponents he'll face, he should be the winner this year. Only time he could lose is in the big final.
I don't know if my favourites (Quan Chi, Reiko, Daegon, Taven, Ferra/Torr, Drahmin) are any good or not, but I was just hoping for something a little less predictable and fresh from these votes.

Relentlessly whining isn't going to make your favourite characters any more popular. I really wish you would realise that.
I voted Raiden.

Johnny Cage deserves his moment in the sun with this thing. He is always a consistent, welcome, and exceptional addition to any roster. Come on, let's push someone different through, please!

Not whining and I wasn't trying to push nobody into voting my favourite characters.
I only expressed the facts of this competition. I think it's fun, but too predictive
Time to predict the rest of the whole tournament.
Sub-Zero vs Mileena: Mileena, judging by how Sub-Zero barely won against Havik.
Smoke vs Noob: It won't matter.
Ermac vs Kenshi: Kenshi.
Fujin vs Johnny: Fujin because hurr durr potential, I want this but when I get it I'll just bitch and moan because things that are not can't be.
Mileena vs Noob/Smoke: Mileena.
Kenshi vs Fujin: Kenshi.
And just like that, Kenshi will run away with the victory, or Mileena. I don't really give a shit.

Johnny vs Raiden is one of the few win-wins to me. Both are really good in MKX and totally worthy of being 2016 champion. Johnny was literally the champion of MK9 and the first Shinnok invasion in MKX. Raiden got his act together in every sense and was possibly the best he's ever been. I think it would be great to finally see Raiden win one since he never has but Johnny is good too.
I really hope whichever one wins can take Fujin out and we can just focus to crowning an MKX champion. People would have a lot less to complain about if more were voting based on the most recent game and comics. There would be new and interesting characters going far and probably a legitimate new champion. Its a real shame. It kind of gets into this idea that Ed Boon wants to get rid of npcs because its about a lack of reason. This tournament is about the best of 2016. Voting for potential comes later. Saying Fujin is the best of 2016 doesn't help his chances it just shows a lack of objectivity and undermines the value of the opinion.
There are still some really good MKX characters left so I'm hopeful for a good finish.

Gotta go with Johnny Cage here. He's really found his groove as a believable hero and trainer of the future. Raiden didn't do much in MKX. By the time he came back from mission Shinnok was well on his way destroy earthrealm.

Johnny by far. He's been one of my favorites since MK1, and MKX has given him the personality I always imagined he would have. He's hilarious, fun to play, and probably my #1 character to use in the game. He'll always be one of my absolute favorites.
Raiden just keeps screwing everything up. He gets Earthrealm into more trouble than its worth. He's bad ass, and his MKX personality was authoritative and confident - huge pluses for the character, but overall when it comes to Raiden v Johnny, i'm all for Johnny.
