wasn't even on my "want list", yet when i went to Fry's for a wireless adapter for my PC, i saw that it was on sale for $29.99...BRAND NEW, so i bought it, played it, and really like it. Ive had about 23 minutes on it so far, but i can tell that it will aim to please in future sit downs with it.

ill update this thread more as i play it.

The game looks like it could be really cool. I am probably going to buy it especially if your reviews are good. One thing though...I thought the game wasn't coming out till the 29th?

The best upgrade is the webs actually stick to buildings unlike the first. I like the idea of being able to go anywhere in New York City, and it using a real model of the city. I hope people have more good things to say about it, other than the voice acting.

HAHA, yeah the voice acting is pretty lousy. BUT YES, this time around your web will only attach, so long as a building / tree / billboard is present, and this time your web actually angles to the building, and will even remain for a little while.

Game plays exactly how you would want it to look AND feel, which is a definate plus. ALSO, you can now land on the GROUND of the city, and jump on cars, and mess with pedestrians. SORRY, you cant HARM pedestrians though, only bother them.

Also, don't expect it to be GTA on the ground as well..meaning although you can land on the ground and foot search, the game fails to feel like GTA, with a GO ANYWHERE DO ANYTHING feeling because you CANT get into cars or anything...example being, the PARK. While in the park, there isn't much to see or do, so i t feels kinda bland...

Controls have really been tweaked this time around as well. You use L2 as a RUN button. This feels pretty cool, because you can now dash towards the edge of a building, jump off and spidey now goes into a dive, as he careens through the air. For those of you that played the first one, the R1 button is no longer used at all...(it used to be a way of attaching web to buildings so you could PULL yourself to them) that feature is gone i think?!?! but i might activate it later in the game.

Graphics are much, much better. The cutscenes are cool, but what i noticed this time around is the fluidness of the camera. The camera is much smarter this time around, and will actually automatically move fluidly with your movement. no more choppiness in this game.

Overall, i'd say that the game was well worth the $29.99 i paid for it. IT surpasses the first spider-man game by a mile...its much more fun to play this game, the controls will take some time getting used to though.

It's great that they actually got Toby Maguire, but if he acted in real life as terrible as he does in the game his career would be non-existant.

Hey, whenever you jump off a building and just let yourself fall do you die or break your neck? jump off a building and just keep falling, and when you hit the ground what happens?

So you don't die or nothin? that's good, on all the other Spider-Man games you could be crawling at the very bottom of a building only like 8 feet above and if you fell you would die. I'm glad they fixed that and also the web-swinging gameplay. It came out today didn't it?
