Awesome! Nariko is such a beast. Definitely will be keeping n eye out for this, thanks Icebaby. I think if Ninja Theory would take another crack at the Heavenly Sword series they'd knock it out the park. They've gotten progressively better with each title (Heavenly Sword, Enslaved, DmC) and I really like the way they render with Unreal. If the movie has some degree of success maybe that would restore some faith in the IP enough for a PS4 title? Regardless though, thanks for posting this.

I'm happy Heavenly Sword is actually getting some form of attention. But I don't like that they changed the story. They have it so the male deity is actually born, and Nariko is just getting him the sword. That defeats the entire purpose of her using the sword at all. It's also going to hurt her character development.

But I have no doubt if the movie does well enough that there will be a sequel on PS4. So I am supporting it for that and because I love HS.

CGI Video game movies like Advent Children and Resident Evil Degeneration and Damnation have done very well going straight to DVD. It allows them to reach their target audience without wasting a lot putting something that casual audiences won't go to see in a vastly more expensive venue like nationwide theaters with big ad campaigns.

Exactly, as opposed to the 5 Resident Evil movies, or as they're better known, The Zombie Killing Adventures of Some Chick who isn't even from the Resident Evil Games....Movies that coincidentally just happen to suck ass.

I always thought HS was a tad underrated, glad to see this is happening. In the mood to play the game now. Everyone should share this around.
